Bo: "Blooming Stone".

Bo: Hey everyone, welcome back to another Heart

Bo: of Horror.

Bo: I am one of your hosts.

Bo: My name is Bo.

Bo: With me, as always, the abulient, the

Bo: literary, some might even call bookish, or

Bo: perhaps even sexy, librarian-esque.

Bo: "blooming Stone".

Bo: Kate Pollock.

Bo: blooming?

Kate: Stone.

Kate: Um, thanks, sure, hi.

Kate: Well, it's funny.

Kate: It's kind of ironic that you called me

Kate: bookish librarian, because the first word I

Kate: don't know what it means that you used

Kate: Right, I'm clearly not that bookish.

Kate: But no, actually it's funny that you

Kate: mentioned that because I just got off

Kate: interviewing another author for my new show,

Kate: plug Plug.

Bo: Yes, and what is that called and where can

Bo: people find it?

Kate: It's called Kate Anjou's book reviews.

Kate: Ornju is about A-N-J-O-U it's my middle

Kate: name because I just I don't know, I don't

Kate: know why I just didn't want to use my last

Kate: name on it and it.

Kate: You know, I had this joke where it's like

Kate: it sounds better than Kate Pollock tracks

Kate: book bollocks.

Kate: But apparently everyone thinks that that's

Kate: a better name.

Bo: It's pretty good.

Bo: It's pretty good.

Kate: But no, I went with Kate Ornju's book

Kate: reviews and I've done all the logos and I'm

Kate: now like four episodes in.

Kate: So it's that one, I'm afraid, guys, but my

Kate: next one maybe I'll say Kate Pollock tracks

Kate: book bollocks.

Kate: But yeah, so you can find that.

Kate: You can find that in pretty much all your

Kate: normal places, but I also have a YouTube

Kate: channel what what?

Kate: Yeah, so it's just Kate Anjou's book

Kate: reviews and, essentially, if you want to

Kate: follow me on socials Facebook, instagram

Kate: and TikTok Instagram and TikTok have little

Kate: full stops between each word, but it's just

Kate: still Kate Ornju's book reviews.

Kate: So go follow me and stuff on there, because

Kate: it's all about promoting and reviewing

Kate: indie books, primarily fantasy and horror,

Kate: although I'm open to most things, but like

Kate: it's, a lot of the indie authors I know are

Kate: in those genres and it's my kind of like

Kate: favorite genre and I also interview the

Kate: authors of the books.

Kate: So yeah, so there's like two little

Kate: episodes where there's one's a review and

Kate: then one's like an interview.

Kate: So I just got off interviewing the lovely

Kate: Seren Farangray who does dark fantasy

Kate: romance.

Kate: So lots of lots of spice, lots of gore,

Kate: lots of demons.

Kate: It's great.

Bo: I think, most importantly, how do I get on

Bo: that show?

Kate: You ought to write a book.

Kate: Have you written a book?

Bo: You've written a book, haven't you, I have

Bo: written a book.

Kate: You haven't.

Kate: You can go on and say it.

Bo: But it's been a long time and it almost

Bo: feels like that would be cheating, although

Bo: I've been you know, the itch has certainly

Bo: been there of late and I think I may do

Bo: that over the summer.

Bo: I think that may be my summer project, just

Bo: to write a novel.

Kate: Okay.

Kate: Well then, yeah, you have to follow me and

Kate: shit, and then, you know, slide up in my

Kate: DMs.

Bo: Sure, that's.

Bo: That's what I'm known for.

Kate: You can just pop me a message and ask me

Kate: like an old person.

Kate: Yeah, yeah.

Bo: Like you ask, you ask my kids.

Bo: They will tell you that I'm pretty much the

Bo: sliding into DMs type.

Kate: Oh, yeah, yeah.

Bo: They're like look, we don't know much,

Bo: we're still, you know, just young people,

Bo: we're just ninth graders.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: But one thing we do know for sure is that

Bo: Mr Randsell is the coolest person.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: That has ever lived 100%.

Kate: I thought they need to know.

Kate: They don't need to know anything else.

Kate: You know information will see them through

Kate: life.

Kate: Okay.

Bo: So I you know I was making fun of myself,

Bo: of course, because my kids think I am an

Bo: old nerd and and rightly so.

Kate: That's.

Kate: That's not a lie, that's a pretty accurate

Kate: representation of me.

Bo: But I did have a genuine, like a moment

Bo: where a kid was genuinely impressed by me

Bo: and, at the end of the day, like you can't

Bo: really give a shit because they're

Bo: teenagers and they don't know anything.

Bo: So like their opinion of you can only

Bo: matter so much, otherwise you're, you're

Bo: fucking finished.

Kate: No, I definitely seek validation from

Kate: teenagers.

Kate: I ain't going to lie.

Bo: I do to an extent, but at but also you have

Bo: to understand that they're fickle.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And so you can't like like a teacher goes

Bo: through that thing that a parent does where

Bo: the the teenager is like too cool for you.

Bo: Yeah, but it happens all the time.

Kate: Like it's just now and she's five.

Bo: And it really sucks because you're like I

Bo: know that you want to hang out and have fun

Bo: and talk, but it would seem like you, you

Bo: would.

Bo: You would seem unusual to do so.

Bo: But the point being is that I'm at my desk

Bo: today and a couple of the kids are doing

Bo: some, some other shit nearby, like drawing

Bo: on the dry race board and stuff, and

Bo: because you know I don't actually teach

Bo: anything, I'm just like, look, I'm just

Bo: keeping you off the streets for 45 minutes,

Bo: that we had had a lot of testing today and

Bo: blah, blah, blah.

Bo: So we weren't like it wasn't a regular

Bo: class.

Bo: But one of the kids mentioned one of the

Bo: girls, I will say for the time being and

Bo: for the sake of argument in my class who

Bo: recently came to me and was like hey, I

Bo: want you to call me this other name because

Bo: I'm kind of going through a journey right

Bo: now and I was like oh, okay.

Bo: Fucking whatever sounds great.

Bo: I hope it's.

Bo: I hope it's bringing you happiness and

Bo: peace.

Kate: Fuck yeah.

Bo: And so you know, I've been calling her by

Bo: that name for I don't know, you know if you

Bo: weeks now and she wasn't there today.

Bo: But one of the other, one of her friends,

Bo: was talking about about her and was like,

Bo: oh yeah, they're not here today and and use,

Bo: you know the new name, and so forth.

Bo: And I was like, oh yeah, I've been meaning

Bo: to ask about this because I suspected that

Bo: this was the case.

Bo: But is she now like, is she identifying as

Bo: non binary?

Bo: And they were like, yeah, you know, at this

Bo: point they preferred their pronouns to be

Bo: they, them, they, them.

Bo: And I was like, okay, got it.

Bo: I didn't.

Bo: I felt awkward about asking them directly,

Bo: but now I know that and I got it, okay,

Bo: registered, and it one of the kids like

Bo: genuinely was taken aback by it and was

Bo: like so, like you don't care.

Bo: And I was like no, no, no, whatever, you

Bo: know, whatever makes them happy, then

Bo: that's what, that's what we'll do, like,

Bo: it's not my position to tell them one way

Bo: or another.

Bo: You know what their pronouns are, that's

Bo: their business.

Bo: And, and they're like so many of the other

Bo: teachers were like Well, that's not what it

Bo: says on your, your file, or whatever.

Kate: And I was like oh, that fucking sucks.

Bo: But it's also Tennessee and I get it.

Bo: And but I had.

Bo: But it was a nice month where like a kid

Bo: was like, oh okay, so not like I'm a cool

Bo: teacher, but of like, oh okay, you're a

Bo: decent person.

Kate: Yeah, there's a respect.

Bo: Right, yeah, it really was a nice moment of

Bo: like oh, okay, so we're safe with you about

Bo: this stuff.

Kate: Okay, good, that's so important for kids to

Kate: feel that way about their teachers, Like

Kate: it's more in fact, I would say it's more

Kate: important than the educational side of

Kate: things like, at least in terms of a child's

Kate: wellbeing is just to feel like that they

Kate: have that safe space, that there is someone

Kate: in like outside of the family, that they

Kate: can trust and talk to when they maybe don't

Kate: want to talk to their family.

Kate: Cause, even if you have the best

Kate: relationship with your parents, there's

Kate: still something you don't really want to

Kate: talk about with them, especially at that

Kate: age.

Kate: So the fact that you know you, you've

Kate: displayed the type of person that you know

Kate: they can, they can trust with that kind of

Kate: stuff and know that they're going to be

Kate: respected that's so fucking huge.

Kate: Like, yeah, like that's so fucking huge,

Kate: that's awesome.

Bo: Yeah, I mean, look I, that's bare minimum

Bo: shit, right, no it?

Kate: absolutely is, but unfortunately we live in

Kate: a world where bare minimum isn't even being

Kate: met.

Kate: Yeah.

Kate: So half the time.

Kate: So you know, a little goes a long way.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, and you know what?

Bo: What you said is true.

Bo: I think that, more than like all the

Bo: grammar and shit that I try to teach these

Bo: kids To varying degrees of success, but

Bo: beyond that, it really is just about like,

Bo: hey, here's how you be.

Bo: Like, just not an asshole, yeah.

Bo: You know, like right now, you're at your

Bo: ninth grader, you're a freshman in high

Bo: school and you're an asshole, and that's

Bo: not entirely your fault.

Bo: Like that's hormones and so forth.

Bo: Like there is a reason that, yeah, like

Bo: there, there is a reason that you know,

Bo: these kids are assholes for the most part.

Bo: Some are, but, but most of them are you

Bo: know, but it's that's just, that's fucking

Bo: how it goes.

Bo: Yeah, hey, enough of this bullshit, though.

Bo: We've got important stuff to talk about,

Bo: and namely, we have got to talk about these

Bo: documentaries.

Kate: Oh yeah, that you have seen because.

Kate: Okay, so I've heard we you mentioned that

Kate: you'd spoke.

Kate: We spoke about that in the episode.

Bo: Yes, yes, yes.

Kate: And I have since caught up and we're

Kate: talking about escaping twin flames.

Kate: That's right.

Kate: Oh fuck, like fuck.

Kate: For those who haven't seen it, it's this,

Kate: basically, it's this, this, these love

Kate: quote.

Kate: unquote self love gurus that will guarantee

Kate: that they will find your twin flame.

Kate: For you, if you complete these courses, pay

Kate: all this money, do all this shit, you will

Kate: find your twin flame, which is essentially

Kate: like.

Kate: It's almost like a fate.

Kate: You're fated to be together.

Kate: You're the most perfect person.

Kate: You reach others halves.

Kate: You compliment each other completely

Kate: perfectly.

Kate: They're the perfect person, lover,

Kate: companion.

Kate: Everything for you, right.

Kate: Right.

Kate: So that's your goal?

Kate: Okay, but you have to pay all this out and

Kate: you have to do this and you have to do this,

Kate: oh, and if that's not enough, we're going

Kate: to completely dictate all of your fucking

Kate: behavior and, on top of that, if you're not

Kate: the gender we want you to be, we're going

Kate: to make you change it.

Kate: That's what you were saying Fucking are

Kate: just, it's just the most backwards, fucking

Kate: like it's so weird because it's it's so,

Kate: it's so backwards because it's.

Kate: They come across as though, hey, we're pro,

Kate: we're pro, you know, sexual identity and

Kate: diversity and stuff, and we're pro this and

Kate: pro that as long as it's within our rules,

Kate: which is so the opposite of what gender is.

Kate: Gender is about freedom, the way that you

Kate: feel inside yourself.

Kate: It is not about what someone tells you you

Kate: are and that's it.

Kate: And people have gone through fucking top

Kate: surgery and shit to achieve these standards

Kate: that these fucking people who are in charge

Kate: have set, and they have brainwashed them to

Kate: fucking think that they are trying.

Kate: Maybe some of them are I'm not going to say

Kate: that they're not and maybe this journey has

Kate: helped them realize a little like help them

Kate: be more authentic to themselves.

Kate: But I can guarantee you a fucking ton of

Kate: them are not.

Kate: And then, on top of that, they isolate you

Kate: from your family, they take all your money,

Kate: they make you completely dependent on them.

Kate: So, even if you don't like what's being

Kate: done, you can't leave.

Kate: Oh, it's the most, and they are the most

Kate: and he is the most, and you just want to

Kate: fucking fucking punch a stupid fucking grin

Kate: and face in yeah, it's take over by.

Kate: It's making me angry.

Bo: It's fucking crazy.

Bo: And so there are two documentaries there's

Bo: one on Netflix, one on Amazon.

Bo: I prefer, I like the style, I think, of the

Bo: Netflix one, but I like the content of the

Bo: Amazon one more, because the Amazon one is

Bo: the one that gets into like we're going to

Bo: go to their house and we're going to hang

Bo: out with them a little bit, and that's kind

Bo: of the stuff that I want to see is like,

Bo: because in the Netflix doc you never get

Bo: the moment of oh, they have some of the

Bo: members of the cult living there with them.

Kate: No, I think both.

Kate: I think you get different things, so I

Kate: would say watch both.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, yeah for sure, but yeah,

Kate: because in the next one they didn't say

Kate: about them actually living with them and

Kate: things, and yeah, it's, and they focus,

Kate: they focus a lot more on like the victims

Kate: in terms of like each step of the program

Kate: and how they manipulate the members to then

Kate: be perpetrators as well.

Kate: And you know, and the transgender forcing,

Kate: like the, you know the gender reassignment

Kate: forcing and things like that.

Kate: And then, but then in the Amazon one, as

Kate: you say, yeah, we have this, the journalist.

Kate: Fuck a comment for a name now.

Bo: Yeah, I don't remember either.

Kate: But yeah, and then she's doing this article

Kate: for Vanity Fair and she goes to their house

Kate: and she sees all this black shit crazy.

Kate: And we also get like interviews with like

Kate: their family members and old friends and

Kate: things.

Kate: Yeah.

Kate: Her dad is heartbreaking.

Bo: Yeah, man, the thing that's really really

Bo: like moving about the documentaries and and

Bo: they're, I mean, fairly salacious like to

Bo: call them moving is probably overstating a

Bo: little bit, but it is really interesting

Bo: and and getting into like like where

Bo: they're making their money and what they're

Bo: spending their money on and like I just

Bo: kind of dug all that stuff.

Bo: And so yeah, so I've really had a good time

Bo: With both of those documentaries and

Bo: digging into like cult leader stuff, like I

Bo: love a good cult leader and this is all 100

Bo: percent that kind of stuff.

Kate: Oh it's, it's that shit, it's so.

Kate: They're so manipulative and like you know

Kate: you see footage in there like really just

Kate: emotionally and mentally abusing these

Kate: people and like verbally abusing these

Kate: people.

Kate: It's just, it's just crazy, like how

Kate: someone can be so stripped of their

Kate: identities, their self worth, their you

Kate: know, their dignity, and then not only that,

Kate: but they pay for the fucking privilege.

Kate: It's just oh.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, that's real fucked up and yeah

Bo: and it's.

Bo: It's.

Bo: The thing that I always love about cult

Bo: stories is the psychology of both the cult

Bo: leaders and the people that buy into the

Bo: shit, and I think especially the the Amazon

Bo: one.

Bo: That's kind of the stuff that I get more

Bo: from.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And that's why I?

Bo: You know, I don't know if I recommended it

Bo: to you this way or you just did it this way,

Bo: but you said that you watch the Netflix doc

Bo: and then the Amazon doc.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And I think that's the way to do it.

Kate: Yeah, I always agree because I think that

Kate: you kind of it's it's kind of like working

Kate: from the ground up, isn't it?

Kate: Because you see how people get involved

Kate: with it in the Netflix one and how certain

Kate: you know people rise up the ranks and

Kate: things that then, like with the Amazon one,

Kate: you then see like the top of the food chain

Kate: thing with Shalia and oh my God, I forgot

Kate: his name.

Bo: Yeah, it's been enough time since I've seen

Bo: it.

Bo: I don't remember, but I mean, let's just

Bo: call him Nico, because he seems like a Nico.

Kate: No offense to other Nicos.

Bo: Sure, no offense, but also a little bit of

Bo: offense, because A little bit.

Kate: If you're a Nico, you know what you did.

Bo: Yeah, oh, you are well aware.

Kate: You know who you are.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, you know what's up, yeah, but

Bo: yeah, yeah.

Bo: So yeah, I would recommend watching him in

Bo: that order.

Bo: But yeah, I mean, you know we talk about

Bo: relationships and stuff all the time and

Bo: the fact that they they swindle people by,

Bo: like I can get you this thing that you're

Bo: searching for, that you think is going to

Bo: be this thing that you know fulfills you.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: But you know, like you said, you got, you

Bo: got to pay your way, and it ends up being

Bo: like just real fucked up.

Kate: Yeah, and you can't pay your way, that's

Kate: okay, because you can work for us for

Kate: nothing.

Bo: Right, right Right.

Kate: And that's how you can pay.

Kate: Your way is you can just work for us, but

Kate: we won't pay you, but you'll spend every

Kate: single waking second of your time doing

Kate: this job.

Kate: Yeah.

Kate: It's absolutely crazy.

Kate: And then like, and also as well, what like

Kate: blows my mind is how they're completely

Kate: showcasing showbone, all of the stuff that

Kate: they are now getting, like you know, the

Kate: driving Ferraris live in this like really

Kate: big house and like they're like

Kate: millionaires and stuff and everyone's good

Kate: and they're.

Kate: And they're spinning it as though like hey,

Kate: we came from nothing and now we're here

Kate: because I found my, we found each other and

Kate: we can.

Kate: We're now basically all powerful and I'll

Kate: get to that more in a minute.

Kate: And then they say and then they're using it

Kate: as this like success stories, like, but you

Kate: know, but like how are you not putting

Kate: together that it's the money that you're

Kate: paying for this bullshit is paying for all

Kate: of this stuff and you are miserable and

Kate: they are fucking living the life of luxury

Kate: because of your fucking money, like.

Kate: And then when they turn, when they turn

Kate: around the Netflix documentary, and then he

Kate: turns around, he says basically I'm the

Kate: second coming, yeah, look at the picture of

Kate: Jesus.

Kate: And then look at me, we're the same person.

Kate: And he genuinely seems to believe it.

Kate: And they say they've got this like special

Kate: communication with God and how God speaks

Kate: to them and says that it's just literally,

Kate: even, even, even if I were religious, like

Kate: the fact that I'm not religious in that way,

Kate: like I don't believe in in like a God like

Kate: that, like at all, but like you know, I'm

Kate: finding it outlandish, but like if I were

Kate: religious I I'd be so offended.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, sure, and these people who are

Kate: religious and stuff are in this, in this

Kate: cult, you know, because it's a cult, they

Kate: were going, yeah, you know, and oh, and, if

Kate: you dare speak out and all the whole thing

Kate: about like, oh, if you don't find your twin

Kate: flame, you must be fucking miserable.

Kate: And it's one person Actually.

Kate: No, I'm pretty happy I've got a good done

Kate: that.

Kate: No, you're miserable.

Kate: Yeah, all right, buddy.

Bo: Right, right, right.

Bo: Yeah, I'm fine.

Bo: No, you're not.

Bo: We'll tell you if you're fine or not.

Bo: And well, that goes along with the gender

Bo: stuff that you were talking about, where

Bo: they're just like and you've now got

Bo: masculine energy.

Bo: Therefore, you're now the man in the

Bo: relationship and that's how you're going to

Bo: live and you're going to go by a man's name.

Bo: And I mean, yeah, and it's just, it's

Bo: fucking nuts.

Kate: It's I I mean, I've watched a fair few cult

Kate: documentaries and stuff.

Kate: I've never seen this kind of thing before.

Kate: Like this is another level of just insamay.

Kate: And like they're still.

Kate: I went on their website.

Kate: I have morbid curiosity.

Kate: And it's all functioning, you can still pay,

Kate: you can still sign up for a free trial.

Kate: And then I'm like what?

Kate: And the fact that they said that there was

Kate: no, they found no, the police investigating,

Kate: they said that there was no criminal stuff

Kate: going on.

Kate: I'm like are you, are you high?

Kate: Like what?

Kate: But then they did apparently refer on to

Kate: the FBI.

Kate: So you know, we'll see.

Bo: Yeah, I mean that, and it also feels like

Bo: the word is out right, like you would have

Bo: to still be in that cult to like think that

Bo: being in that cult was OK.

Kate: Yeah, and like the Vanity Fair article,

Kate: apparently like after reading that, a lot

Kate: of people left, didn't they?

Kate: They said in the Amazon documentary, yeah,

Kate: they said like a bunch of people dropped

Kate: out after that because it kind of like

Kate: pulled the wall from their eyes.

Kate: But yeah, there are still thousands and

Kate: thousands of people all over the world part

Kate: of this universe.

Bo: Well, universe feels yeah.

Kate: It's, I'm using their word.

Kate: Yeah, and universe.

Kate: I'm not like giving them additional

Kate: gravitas.

Bo: Yeah, it's, yeah, it's just, it's just.

Bo: I mean I'm continually like amazed and

Bo: surprised and fascinated by that kind of,

Bo: you know, brazenness, because you have to

Bo: be pretty bold to be like, hey, you need to

Bo: change genders, like you have to be feeling

Bo: yourself in a way that is beyond my kin,

Bo: like I've never been that confident about

Bo: anything in my whole life.

Kate: That's not confidence, that's fucking

Kate: arrogance and narcissism.

Kate: That is.

Bo: No, well sure, yes, you're right, you're

Bo: right.

Kate: But yeah, go check it out there everyone,

Kate: it's really great.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Bo: Documentaries.

Bo: Sure, yeah, if you haven't seen it, you

Bo: absolutely should.

Bo: Yeah, it's, it's really, really fun.

Bo: Okay, so that's you know, our recap on love

Bo: cult documentaries, a new segment that we

Bo: have yet to title.

Bo: But in the meantime, what about?

Bo: Do we have some some ghostly slash alien

Bo: fuckery to?

Kate: get into.

Kate: Well, we actually have gone like a slightly

Kate: different route which, I excuse me, sorry,

Kate: I messaged you about and it was just, it

Kate: was just batch it enough for it to be

Kate: something that we want to do.

Kate: Why is my phone not opening?

Kate: Oh my God, yeah.

Bo: Yeah and right, like we have.

Bo: I was talking to Duncan about this, that we

Bo: have kind of moved on from just ghostly

Bo: dating to just straight up like hey, what

Bo: kind of weird shit are you fucking?

Kate: Yeah, I mean it could be the new segment

Kate: name of just like instead of you should be

Kate: fucking, you shouldn't be fucking right.

Bo: Right, you're flying in the face of all

Bo: wisdom from Doug and a bow come correct.

Bo: Yeah, sometimes, sometimes, maybe you

Bo: shouldn't be fucking maybe sometimes you

Bo: shouldn't be fucking.

Kate: Yeah, I mean, I will come back to ghost,

Kate: because there is still like a plethora of

Kate: of articles and whatnot out there, but

Kate: these ones, this one just I saw it just on

Kate: by chance on my Instagram feed and I was

Kate: like what?

Kate: So?

Kate: Meet Spanish artist Alicia fromis, the

Kate: first woman to marry a hologram.

Kate: Naturally marriage it right here.

Kate: So the multi discipline.

Kate: And Liz was a heart the multi disciplinary

Kate: artists from Barcelona.

Kate: Alicia fromis will be the first woman to

Kate: marry a hologram generated by AI in a

Kate: ceremony that will take place this summer.

Kate: When was this article written?

Kate: Oh, recently.

Kate: Okay, so you're saying, there's still a

Kate: chance at the depot boymans van runing in

Kate: museum in Rotterdam.

Kate: That's probably not how it's pronounced.

Kate: Apology.

Bo: It's probably perfect.

Bo: That's probably the move.

Kate: So right, let me just Okay.

Kate: This description may not fit the ideal

Kate: relationship for many, but it embodies a

Kate: love from an alternative dimension.

Kate: Spanish artist Alicia fromis will have the

Kate: curious honor of being the first woman to

Kate: say I do to a virtual partner a

Kate: sophisticated hologram of her own design,

Kate: tailored to satisfy all of her emotional

Kate: needs I am sure not just emotional, if

Kate: she's catered it to herself.

Kate: Well, how does that work?

Kate: Anyway, though currently categorized as a

Kate: performance, that artist's depiction

Kate: reflects a scenario that could seem to be

Kate: off fucking.

Kate: She's not even fucking, actually.

Kate: Maybe I'll go back to one.

Kate: Okay, I'll read on.

Kate: With this project, fromis aims to reflect

Kate: on the interactions between humans,

Kate: artificial intelligence and contemporary

Kate: art.

Kate: The artist has advanced some of the details

Kate: of her relationship with the holographic

Kate: image.

Kate: Called for fuck's sake, so I'm not sure how

Kate: it's pronounced, but it's like a Ilex, but

Kate: like Alex.

Bo: Oh, okay, I got you Like.

Kate: Ilex and something like that.

Kate: Which she created from profile oh this is

Kate: fucked which she created from profiles of

Kate: her past relationships.

Bo: Oh no, oh no.

Kate: Okay, cool this.

Kate: I'm glad I continued Because the one I sent

Kate: you was very like a limited article, so I

Kate: sort of like looked up quickly before we

Kate: got on here.

Kate: But I just read this through properly

Kate: Framers is currently designing her wedding

Kate: dress and determining the attire of those

Kate: attending the ceremony, which will take

Kate: place this summer, of the roof of the

Kate: museum in Rotterdam.

Kate: Also, together with the LAM museum or LAM

Kate: museum, the Dutch food art museum, framers

Kate: is working to create molecule.

Kate: You say about me being bookish and reading,

Kate: and I can't fucking say.

Bo: So far, so good.

Kate: Molecular food for their wedding banquet

Kate: that both humans and humanoids can enjoy.

Kate: I want to make an artistic documentary that

Kate: includes drawings, interviews with other

Kate: women, sketches about bodies, arms,

Kate: romantic dreams, domestic situations in the

Kate: daily life of my partner.

Kate: I want to explore how to integrate the

Kate: hologram into my daily life as proof of

Kate: their relationship and coexistence.

Kate: Framers shares videos and photographs on

Kate: her Instagram account in which she appears

Kate: with her partner, alex, sharing everyday

Kate: tasks such as cooking and dining, love and

Kate: sex with robots, and holograms are an

Kate: inevitable reality.

Kate: They are great companions and capable of

Kate: expressing empathy.

Kate: Just as phones saved us from loneliness,

Kate: did it, did it and filled the void in our

Kate: life.

Kate: Did it, though?

Kate: Did they yeah?

Bo: I think there is a lot of scientific

Bo: evidence to the contrary on this one, but

Bo: go on.

Kate: Holograms as interactive presences in our

Kate: homes can take it even further.

Kate: Oh my God.

Kate: The artist is also exploring the

Kate: possibility of creating the first mortgage

Kate: to purchase with a holographic companion,

Kate: as well as a house designed specifically

Kate: for a hologram and a human being.

Bo: That sounds expensive.

Kate: Yeah, they're not going to work love.

Kate: They don't have a paycheck.

Kate: How are you okay?

Kate: A new generation this is a quote a new

Kate: generation of lovers emerging, whether we

Kate: like it or not, in which humans will marry

Kate: and maintain relationships with holograms,

Kate: avatars, robots and so on.

Kate: Just as we practice new languages with

Kate: Duolingo, we will practice relationships

Kate: with these entities.

Kate: That's not the same, yeah, yeah, yeah that

Kate: learning from a computer is not the same as

Kate: having a relationship with one.

Kate: And also, as well, like a new generation of

Kate: lovers emerging where you're the first

Kate: person to do this love.

Kate: I don't think anyone else is doing this.

Kate: I mean, you know, having an evening with

Kate: your fleshlight is one thing.

Kate: Go on.

Kate: Marrying a hologram.

Kate: Oh my God is Krieger.

Bo: Krieger oh yeah from Archer.

Bo: Yeah yeah, yeah, he's got his waifu.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, for sure.

Kate: Oh my gosh.

Bo: Yes, you're absolutely right.

Kate: God, okay.

Kate: Framasus dedicated her artistic career to

Kate: bringing science and art together to

Kate: cultivate meaningful relationships,

Kate: offering support to people facing illness.

Kate: Don't make it.

Kate: Don't make it philanthropic, like offering

Kate: support to people facing illness,

Kate: disability, gender imbalance or traumatic

Kate: experiences.

Kate: I'll see.

Kate: Now I feel bad.

Kate: Okay, fine, this is kind of sweet, I guess.

Kate: The latest performance project, a

Kate: performative project, is also conceived as

Kate: a therapeutic tool for those who have

Kate: suffered trauma abuse, as well as those

Kate: facing the loss of a loved one.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, I can't get that, I suppose,

Kate: but it's still kind of weird though.

Bo: To an extent, right like the therapeutic

Bo: side of it.

Bo: I can kind of see but, it like it doesn't

Bo: sound like she is doing this purely as like

Bo: a way to call attention to this.

Bo: You know like need to, you know like, hey,

Bo: we've got to make sure that everybody has

Bo: an opportunity to love and feel

Bo: companionship.

Bo: And also I'm going to do it in the weirdest

Bo: possible way.

Kate: And yeah, and also like incorporate all the

Kate: personalities of my exes.

Kate: Can you imagine?

Kate: Surely there's some sort of infringement

Kate: there.

Bo: Not only that, like there's a reason,

Bo: they're your exes.

Bo: Why are you pulling from failed

Bo: relationships?

Kate: Like I, just that part is fucking weird.

Kate: So last bit, this is not from a

Kate: pharmacist's first experience incorporating

Kate: non-human elements into her art.

Kate: In 1996, she became the first artist to

Kate: coexist with a mannequin named Pierre.

Kate: The resulting work, Cinema Solo, was

Kate: composed of 36 photographs and a dialogue

Kate: between Frommis and the mannequin, inspired

Kate: by Marguerite Duras's book La Maladie de la

Kate: Motte.

Kate: Hmm, okay.

Kate: So I think I know why her and her exes are

Kate: exes, and I'm not going to point fingers,

Kate: but I'm pretty sure it's her.

Bo: Yeah, almost certainly.

Bo: Yeah, allegedly yeah.

Bo: I mean like all of this reminds me of a

Bo: woman I dated years ago who was a poet.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And it was awesome that she was a poet,

Bo: until the poet side really came out and it

Bo: was like, oh, you're just also a crazy

Bo: person.

Kate: Got it.

Bo: Okay.

Kate: How was she crazy?

Bo: She was very anti-vax, which was a problem,

Bo: and left out a lot of important details

Bo: about her life.

Bo: Like I think she might have been an escort

Bo: to some degree while she was dating it.

Bo: Yeah, well, we did not date that long.

Bo: Yeah, okay, but maybe, like it was just a

Bo: real weird kind of situation that I never

Bo: fully got a great read on.

Bo: And all of it was just like.

Bo: Your life sounds very complicated and I

Bo: don't think you need me.

Bo: Yeah, yeah.

Kate: Yeah, you got some stuff going on before

Kate: you really need to be in the dating pool,

Kate: right.

Bo: There was just a lot of moving parts and

Bo: I'm not sure exactly like what the whole

Bo: situation was.

Kate: Anyway, like.

Bo: I know we are being very like, upfront and

Bo: honest, but this is one of those stories

Bo: that is really completely unsatisfying,

Bo: because I don't have a lot of details, just

Bo: a lot of hunches.

Bo: Okay, based on things like you know, when

Bo: we started dating, she was like, well, I'm

Bo: still seeing other people.

Bo: I'm like, yeah, that's fine.

Bo: I mean we're not.

Bo: We've gone out for you know a couple of

Bo: times and that's not a big deal.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: But then it was like yeah, so you know,

Bo: I've got to go get this dress because I'm

Bo: dating this guy, but he's married and I'm

Bo: like huh that sounds.

Kate: That's a red flag, isn't it?

Bo: Right, it sounds like a real rough

Bo: situation.

Kate: It's not an E and M situation, like the wife

Kate: presumably doesn't know about it, so yeah.

Bo: Yeah.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: It was.

Bo: It was not good, but like I never knew

Bo: anything specifically about all that was

Bo: going on, but I knew that it was messy

Bo: enough that I wanted no part of it.

Kate: Yeah, definitely.

Bo: Yeah.

Kate: She's the woman that they sing about in her

Kate: unholy, you know, by Sam Smith.

Bo: Yeah, exactly, yeah, okay, so, yeah, yeah.

Bo: So, dating a hologram?

Bo: I don't know.

Bo: I mean, what's the sex like Do you think is

Bo: it is that?

Kate: all pre-programmed as well you would think

Kate: Well, I mean, it's a hologram, so I can't

Kate: imagine there's much penetration going on

Kate: or any kind of physical I mean, unless,

Kate: like she gets, maybe she, maybe she puts

Kate: Pierre the mannequin with him and

Kate: superimposes the hologram onto his face,

Kate: puts a strap on on and goes to something.

Kate: Town, I can't go to Happy Town.

Bo: Happy Town, yeah, like yeah it you would

Bo: almost want to do.

Bo: Have you ever seen those things where it's

Bo: like a Twitch plays a video game, where

Bo: it's audience members selecting inputs for

Bo: a controller, so playing a video game by

Bo: community?

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Okay, so what if you did that with the sex

Bo: toys?

Bo: So it's just like hey, it's time for Sexy

Bo: Town with my hologram.

Bo: I'm just going to throw it up on, you know

Bo: Instagram or whatever, and if people

Bo: respond, with a heart then it goes to this

Bo: speed and you know an eggplant is this

Bo: speed or whatever the fuck?

Kate: Yeah, although I mean God.

Kate: That's a really great way to make money on

Kate: only fans, though I bet.

Bo: Oh, you would think.

Kate: Maybe she's on something.

Bo: Yeah, I had to.

Bo: I asked Duncan a very dumb only fans

Bo: question recently.

Kate: Why did you ask?

Bo: Well, because I was like is it just fucking

Bo: on, only fans?

Kate: No.

Bo: And yeah, and so that's what I've since

Bo: learned.

Kate: How does Duncan know?

Bo: Duncan has an only fans.

Kate: I'm sure he does.

Bo: You know, he was a panda.

Kate: No, I respect Duncan way too much.

Bo: It's the big blue.

Bo: Is the big blue Because you know the pride

Bo: of Scotland.

Kate: Yeah, I got it yeah.

Kate: And yeah did you know that the Scottish

Kate: National Animals, or like whatever mascot,

Kate: is a unicorn, so using that horn for some

Kate: good.

Bo: I, you know, I did know that, and that's

Bo: still the craziest fucking thing.

Kate: Like I don't think you should be allowed

Kate: Dragon.

Bo: I just don't think you should be allowed to

Bo: have magical animals on to represent.

Kate: Stupid lion.

Bo: At least it's real.

Bo: I can go to a zoo and see a lion.

Bo: I have to go to like a two bit circus to

Bo: see a unicorn and then it's not real, so

Bo: that's unfortunate, to say the least.

Kate: I quite like that is a unicorn.

Bo: It's.

Bo: Look, I get it, but I don't know.

Bo: Like I had one of the kids today as we.

Bo: What I did like about monarchies.

Kate: Where's it began.

Bo: Yeah, and I was like because they're stupid.

Kate: What's why?

Bo: Why would you ever let anyone run your

Bo: country by virtue of what vagina they came

Bo: out of?

Kate: Yeah, it's ridiculous.

Kate: They really run much in this monarchy

Kate: anyway.

Kate: But yeah, it's, it's, yeah, it's a totally

Kate: pointless archaic institute.

Kate: It's just stupid.

Kate: It's so stupid.

Bo: Yeah, well, you guys have, you know, the

Bo: constitutional monarchy, which you know

Bo: obviously the way to go.

Kate: Yeah, I mean they don't have any real input,

Kate: yeah, which is quite good.

Kate: At least as far as I know, I don't think

Kate: they do.

Kate: So that's one thing, I suppose.

Kate: But then look who we do have in charge.

Kate: So you know, it's six of one and half dozen

Kate: of the other, sure.

Bo: Yeah, look, neri, a perfect world to be

Bo: found, like you know, you see what's going

Bo: on over here in this country, and I mean

Bo: yeah it's a fucking nightmare.

Kate: Yep.

Bo: Right, it's a.

Bo: One choice is bad and the other is

Bo: catastrophic.

Bo: So you do the math, yeah.

Kate: I don't like that math.

Kate: I've never been good at math and I don't

Kate: like what you're, what you're summing up

Kate: there.

Bo: No, it sucks.

Bo: All right, we should.

Bo: We should get around to actually talk about

Bo: this movie, we should, and also okay, so

Bo: we're talking about near dark.

Bo: Catherine Bigelow is near dark, yeah, and I

Bo: get the impression that you either had not

Bo: seen it very much or were not a fan.

Kate: No, I just hadn't seen it Ever.

Kate: No, oh really, I thought I had, but I

Kate: hadn't.

Kate: I was, I think, I don't know what I was

Kate: getting it confused with, but I was getting

Kate: it confused with something, yeah, but no, I

Kate: hadn't seen it because I, when I brought it

Kate: up, you're like yeah, okay, and I was like

Kate: really that that seems like a a tepid

Kate: reaction to near dark.

Kate: Oh no, do you know what it was I was when

Kate: you were messaging me.

Kate: I'd like I had like a million things going

Kate: on and I was just like, yeah, cool, that

Kate: sounds great you know kind of going for

Kate: efficiency.

Kate: Yeah, in that moment yeah, but no, I hadn't,

Kate: I hadn't seen it.

Kate: It had been, as I say, it had been one that

Kate: I thought I had seen.

Kate: I think possibly as well, because I thought

Kate: I'd seen it but I like didn't overly like

Kate: remember.

Kate: I thought I hadn't overly remembered it.

Kate: I was just kind of like yep, okay, cool,

Kate: that sounds good, you know sort of thing,

Kate: but like no, I hadn't seen it.

Kate: But I did really like it.

Kate: It was a very different sort of vampire,

Kate: vampire film on a road trip.

Bo: Exactly.

Bo: And I thought that made it kind of

Bo: interesting, because one of the things that

Bo: I wanted to talk to you about is going on

Bo: trips with you know in quotes loved ones or

Bo: people that you're involved with.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Because that, my friend, is a real weedy

Bo: shrinker, I think is what the scientists

Bo: call it.

Bo: Because it's like that it's.

Bo: It's one of those relationship hurdles

Bo: that's like, okay, this is either going to

Bo: kill it or we're going to get past it.

Bo: Because traveling with someone, it's like

Bo: it's not being intimate.

Bo: It is being intimate, but it's a different

Bo: kind of intimacy.

Bo: It's not just like we're going to fucking

Bo: stuff, but it's like we're going to pack

Bo: together and like lay out our shit together.

Kate: And it's your first kind of like time, of

Kate: basically kind of living with someone, and

Kate: I think as well how people behave at an

Kate: airport shows their true colors.

Bo: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Kate: You know, yeah presumably the trip you're

Kate: going is, you know, involves an airport.

Kate: But, like you know, my dad is a nightmare

Kate: in an airport like he.

Kate: Just he's so oblivious and he just wanders

Kate: off.

Kate: Wonders off to what to wear.

Kate: It's wherever it is, the way he's going to

Kate: the gate.

Kate: So he doesn't like he's quite a fast walker

Kate: and he just goes off and he doesn't keep.

Kate: He doesn't let you kind of like keep pace,

Kate: he doesn't.

Kate: He just just he's off and you're like all

Kate: right, cool, I guess I'll.

Kate: I'll see you on the flight then, dad, you

Kate: know like, and he'll just be like, oh, I'll

Kate: just be, let you get through security and

Kate: he'll just be back in a minute.

Kate: And it's just like where's your father?

Kate: Where's he gone?

Kate: What's he do?

Kate: It, you know, and then like, and he gets

Kate: really like irritable about things as well,

Kate: like if the queue is too long, he's like oh,

Kate: what's just ridiculous, that's gone.

Bo: Mom, can you get that that?

Kate: Yeah, like, and you know, and he just oh

Kate: and like, especially like since he's moved

Kate: to Greece.

Kate: My parents live in Greece, they retired out

Kate: there and like, here's this thing, because

Kate: in Greece is perfectly acceptable to do

Kate: this.

Kate: I'm like, yeah, but dad, you're not in

Kate: Greece right now and you just come off as

Kate: asshole.

Kate: If you want someone's attention, like like

Kate: a server or like an assistant, like you

Kate: know, you need some assistance in some sort

Kate: of, like you know, public space clicks

Kate: fingers.

Kate: Oh, I hate that that's.

Bo: That's quite rude, like that it's really

Bo: rude but it's acceptable.

Kate: It's the only way you can do it in Greece,

Kate: because everyone's really loud all the time,

Kate: and so you kind of, you put you know, you

Kate: make eye contact, you click at them and

Kate: like it's the most just, you want the whole

Kate: world to cave in over you when he does that?

Kate: Because, like you can see, on whoever he's

Kate: clicking out face, like yeah, Okay, and I'm

Kate: like, I'm so sorry he doesn't understand,

Kate: he's not from around here, you know, like

Kate: he was?

Bo: he was kicked by a goat.

Kate: Yeah, and I'm just like dad, you can't

Kate: fucking do that and it's all right.

Kate: I'm like, dude, it's fucking not all right.

Kate: It's not fucking all right.

Kate: You know, like and he doesn't mean it in a

Kate: horrible way, it's just he's lived there

Kate: for the last like 12 years and it's just

Kate: now.

Kate: That's just what he does.

Kate: So like it's things like that.

Kate: So like my, my dad's, just basic.

Kate: My dad is a lovely bloke.

Kate: I don't want to, like you know, slag him

Kate: off too much, but like when he, when he has

Kate: a sort of thing in mind, like he kind of

Kate: forgets about all the other people around

Kate: him, and he's just like, right, that's that.

Kate: I wouldn't do that, I'm like that.

Kate: And he doesn't really communicate or let

Kate: you know where he is or what he's doing.

Kate: He just walks off.

Kate: It's just like, for fuck's sake.

Kate: So, yeah, that's my dad.

Kate: So like when, yeah, when we've like gone on

Kate: holiday and things me and my mom have, like

Kate: when I was, especially when I was like

Kate: younger and stuff, I don't really holiday

Kate: with my parents so much anymore.

Kate: Well, I do, actually it's all I do because

Kate: I go over and visit them, but like I don't

Kate: go on holiday with them so much anymore.

Kate: But like it'd be me and my mom and we'll

Kate: just be like, right, we'll keep hold of our

Kate: bags, we're keeping hold of our passport.

Kate: Your dad can do what the fuck he wants.

Kate: We're going to go and get some food.

Kate: It'd just be one of those.

Kate: But yeah, I feel like when you're with

Kate: someone, especially when it's like in a

Kate: relationship and and especially if it's

Kate: like the first time you're going away with

Kate: them, it's like you see everything because

Kate: presumably you haven't moved in yet and you

Kate: know, so you're.

Kate: You know you're sharing a bathroom, you're

Kate: with them all the time.

Kate: You're.

Kate: You know, even if it isn't a very idyllic

Kate: kind of like, you know environment, you're

Kate: hot, you're in a like, you know you might

Kate: be.

Kate: Well, presumably you're hot, like in

Kate: England we always go to hot places because

Kate: it's always so cold here.

Kate: You know, generally speaking, it's hot and

Kate: like you've been traveling and you've, you

Kate: know, in an unknown country and you know,

Kate: even though you are relaxing, stressors can

Kate: be a little bit higher and things.

Kate: So yeah, it's.

Kate: It's an interesting experience for sure.

Kate: Have you been on many holidays with, like,

Kate: loved ones, partners and such?

Bo: Yeah, like as you were talking, I had such

Bo: a wash of memories.

Bo: One is I don't think my parents ever went

Bo: on vacation together.

Kate: Really.

Bo: Yeah, as I'm thinking about it now, I don't

Bo: think they ever did.

Kate: So they were just vacation like separately.

Bo: No, they just.

Bo: I don't think they ever went on vacation.

Kate: Huh, do you not do that so much in America?

Bo: No, we do, they just didn't.

Kate: Oh, they didn't.

Bo: Because when but like we took vacations as

Bo: kids, we would go with my grandparents all

Bo: over the place, so like we would go to like

Bo: Disney World and the mountains and all

Bo: kinds of stuff.

Bo: But now that I'm thinking about, I'm like,

Bo: oh yeah, we always did that when I was a

Bo: kid with my grandparents.

Bo: My parents actually never win anywhere.

Bo: Huh, that's weird.

Kate: My parents, we used to go away every year.

Kate: Every summer we'd go away.

Kate: We would go to the south of France or we

Kate: would go to like later on we then went to

Kate: Greece and then that's when my parents

Kate: decided they wanted us to move there.

Kate: Occasionally my granddad when I was younger

Kate: he'd come to the south of France with us,

Kate: and every now and then my nan has come away

Kate: with us.

Kate: But I wouldn't be going away with my

Kate: grandparents, and that's my mom's side.

Kate: My dad's parents never they'd fucking

Kate: barely left the house because they were

Kate: just old and hermity.

Kate: But yeah, I always went away with my folks.

Bo: Well, so that was one thing that came up.

Bo: The other is this and I may have told this

Bo: story before, but I'll keep this short the

Bo: one time and I've gone, like I've traveled

Bo: with a number of people that I've dated

Bo: over the years and in some cases it was

Bo: great Actually.

Bo: So let me start here Maybe the best trip

Bo: that I ever had with somebody that I was

Bo: involved with, but we'd been dating a while

Bo: before we went on the trip and we went to

Bo: New York and yeah, it was really fun.

Bo: Like she had to go for a conference and so

Bo: I met her like a day after she got there

Bo: and then we just spent the weekend in New

Bo: York and it was a great time.

Bo: But the thing was, now that I'm thinking

Bo: about it, I'm like I don't know that we

Bo: fucked on that trip.

Bo: I think you know like it was great, we had

Bo: a wonderful time, but I think that we were

Bo: just so fucking tired at the end of every

Bo: day.

Bo: I don't know that we and, like I said, we'd

Bo: been dating long enough that we you know if

Bo: we didn't you were past the rippie shutters,

Bo: close off stage, or something.

Bo: Right, but still it was New York and we

Bo: should have but we didn't because we were

Bo: old and tired.

Bo: But then I've had, like I had another trip

Bo: with and it was real early in the

Bo: relationship and it was just fucking

Bo: disastrous the whole trip.

Bo: It was like a weekend away where we were

Bo: just like gonna go and hang out and it was

Bo: just.

Bo: It was one of those like one thing after

Bo: another of like, oh, this isn't gonna work

Bo: out, and that sucked Like and both of us

Bo: kind of knew it and it was the worst part

Bo: of because we had taken a trip to go.

Bo: We rented a cabin together and like hung

Bo: out and like shop during the day and all

Bo: that kind of fun stuff.

Bo: And on the way back, though, like that car

Bo: was fucking silent.

Bo: That was.

Bo: It was rough because, like neither of us

Bo: really had much to say, we both knew like,

Bo: oh, this is probably gonna be over with.

Kate: And yeah.

Kate: Were you just kind of like sick of each

Kate: other's company by?

Bo: that point it was a combination of like

Bo: sick of each other's company and really

Bo: bummed out that it didn't work out Because,

Bo: like, initially we went into it into that

Bo: weekend.

Bo: I think both of us were like this could be

Bo: something and then by the end of it we were

Bo: like this is absolutely not a thing, but

Bo: it's good, like putting a relationship

Bo: under that kind of pressure.

Bo: You know, it's like putting a coal under

Bo: pressure to see if it forms a diamond or

Bo: just turns into dust.

Bo: And that's how this was like.

Bo: It just became dust.

Bo: But I don't know what about you?

Bo: Have you ever had like a vacation with a

Bo: romantic partner that just went way better

Bo: than anticipated?

Kate: No.

Kate: Yeah as I think about it like.

Bo: I think you can only lose.

Kate: The only.

Kate: I've had two good trips.

Kate: I wouldn't say better than ex-fist

Kate: anticipated, but just as anticipated.

Kate: One of them was the first time I went away

Kate: with a partner and it was actually super

Kate: sweet.

Kate: It was my 21st birthday and we had only

Kate: been dating for about two months and he had

Kate: secretly planned this whole weekend away to

Kate: Paris, booked a four-star hotel, everything

Kate: had arranged with my boss to get me the

Kate: annual leave, so that, like I didn't know

Kate: anything, he told me what weather it might

Kate: be, just so I knew what to pack.

Kate: But like that was it, although, bless him,

Kate: he got too excited and he'd been holding on

Kate: to the secret for like about a month and he

Kate: checked in with all of my friends to hey,

Kate: would Kate like this?

Kate: So they all were keeping the secret.

Kate: He asked my parents whether it would be

Kate: okay because it was my first time away out

Kate: of the country with a partner, and like

Kate: they were, and so everyone knew but me.

Kate: And two days before we were due to go he

Kate: got too excited and he slipped up with

Kate: where we were going.

Kate: Oh no.

Kate: Yeah, but I was so excited, like I actually

Kate: was quite glad, because, like it meant that

Kate: I could hey, I could pack a little bit more

Kate: concisely and also as well.

Kate: I kind of just had that couple of days to

Kate: just build up that excitement.

Kate: He was so pissed off himself, though, but

Kate: we got there and it was a really, really

Kate: wonderful weekend.

Kate: And it was over Valentine's, because my

Kate: birthday's February 10th, and so it was

Kate: over Valentine's weekend, and we had this

Kate: incredible meal on Valentine's Day, which

Kate: was the Saturday, and we went and did all

Kate: the touristy stuff, and it was quite funny

Kate: because we did have sex a lot.

Bo: Nobody likes a braggart.

Kate: Oh well, I'm about to get humbled real

Kate: quick.

Kate: Uh-oh.

Kate: So he, we were having sex and he wanted to

Kate: do the the relatively, I think, optimistic

Kate: thing of pulling out and then getting it

Kate: into my mouth.

Bo: Oh, wow, okay, yeah, that's a pro move.

Kate: Yeah, right, so that's what he wanted to do.

Kate: I was just like, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Kate: And then he misses and it shoots up my nose.

Kate: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ha, it fucking hurts

Kate: so.

Bo: Really Like how?

Bo: So Certainly I wouldn't think it's state.

Kate: It's like your throat still.

Bo: Oh sure.

Kate: It's not the way that God intended and like

Kate: it.

Kate: Just.

Kate: I was just like, like it's a rush of the

Kate: bathroom and I was like hocking up and

Kate: sneezing and just it was just too much

Kate: fluid in all of all of my fucking sinuses

Kate: and like, and I was just like what the fuck?

Kate: I was like you had one job and like, yeah,

Kate: it was just.

Kate: It was just a bit of a dis I mean, I can

Kate: laugh about it and stuff.

Kate: And the next day we were laughing about it,

Kate: but at the time I was just like that's

Kate: really funny.

Kate: Oh my God, yeah, Like literally, like I and

Kate: I've had it in the eye before and honestly

Kate: I think the nose is worse Like when it

Kate: comes at that velocity as well just kind of.

Kate: Yeah, it's just kind of like the tobacco

Kate: spit, you know, like it just like goes

Kate: through my nose and then like hits off the

Kate: back of my fucking throat somehow, and just

Kate: a whole thing, Like it's just yeah.

Kate: And then I mean like.

Bo: You know who among us has not had that

Bo: moment where you're like okay, what would I

Bo: prefer, come in the nose or come in the eye?

Kate: I feel like you don't grow as a person

Kate: unless you've had that question answered.

Bo: Right Ask and answered yes.

Kate: Yeah, try the narrative and then the other

Kate: one was with the sociopath a couple of

Kate: years ago, and that's all I'll refer to in

Kate: a nutshell, especially as I've started

Kate: dating somebody with the same name.

Kate: So yeah, like I've seen, by the way, said

Kate: to start dating, we've had two dates and

Kate: very, very, very early days, kind of casual,

Kate: but you know.

Bo: I actually, but sounds good, sounds good.

Kate: But yeah, so it sounds good.

Kate: So far it's got lots of green flags, as

Kate: opposed to this guy who was just walking

Kate: red flag.

Kate: But yeah, we went to his parents' caravan

Kate: Cornwall with two of our friends who are

Kate: also a couple.

Kate: There were two bedrooms right next to each

Kate: other and caravan walls are not thick, they

Kate: are essentially a sheet of metal.

Kate: Uh-huh.

Kate: And so you can hear everything.

Kate: And, like the I don't know first or second

Kate: night we were there, we were essentially

Kate: marathoning each other.

Kate: Uh-huh.

Kate: And like they could hear us, we could hear

Kate: them and we were, like you know,

Kate: essentially having a competition about who

Kate: could make the girl come more.

Kate: Uh-huh.

Kate: And then there was a bit where there was a

Kate: bit where, like I was okay, so I was on top.

Kate: Uh-huh.

Kate: I was getting a bit tired, so I hopped off

Kate: and went to give him some head just to give

Kate: myself a little bit of a chill time.

Kate: And apparently all they could hear in the

Kate: other room was the breathing and moaning,

Kate: everything's stopping.

Kate: And then, about two seconds later, all they

Kate: heard was oh, a blowjob.

Kate: Ha, ha, ha ha.

Kate: Oh, delightful.

Kate: Ha, ha ha.

Kate: And then apparently that was just them done,

Kate: because they were just laughing too hard.

Kate: They just couldn't continue and I declared

Kate: us the winner.

Kate: Sure sure.

Kate: And there were loads.

Kate: Oh, there were.

Kate: Yeah, I might.

Kate: Yeah, there were a few things that trip

Kate: Like.

Kate: We came back from a dinner, we were all so

Kate: we drove down in our mate's car and she was

Kate: driving giving her partner a hand job in

Kate: the front seat while the sociopath was

Kate: fingering me in the back seat.

Kate: It was very incestuous and so we got in.

Kate: We quickly departed.

Kate: We thought that they were just going to

Kate: have, they were having like.

Kate: So we were on about oh, when we get back

Kate: we'll play some drinking games or whatever.

Kate: And they went in their bedroom.

Kate: So we were like oh well, ok, if they're

Kate: doing that, then let's.

Kate: We were in the living space, the communal

Kate: space.

Kate: Turns out they weren't doing anything, they

Kate: were just having a bit of a change of

Kate: clothes and freshening up, kind of thing.

Kate: They came out into the living space ready

Kate: to play drinking games, to find the

Kate: sociopath between my legs while I'm sat on

Kate: the sofa.

Kate: I hadn't been wearing underwear at all that

Kate: night, by the way, sure.

Kate: So, because ofs and so he was going down on

Kate: me.

Kate: He hops up and I'm like oh shit, and I'm

Kate: still sat down and a couple of seconds goes

Kate: by and the other guy turns around and I was

Kate: like Kate's forgotten, she's not wearing

Kate: underwear.

Kate: I was like oh shit.

Kate: I just quickly closed my legs Because I was

Kate: wearing a skirt and he was kind of like,

Kate: but it was a short skirt.

Bo: Sure sure.

Kate: Yeah, and he was like, yeah, kate's

Kate: forgotten that she's not wearing underwear.

Kate: And I was like, oh fuck.

Kate: So that's quite funny.

Kate: That's something that we still bring up now

Kate: because I'm still friends with the other

Kate: two.

Kate: So, yeah, it's just like yeah, well, you

Kate: know.

Bo: I mean I like as far as sex on trips goes,

Bo: I like a good hotel bed and I secretly

Bo: always hope somebody's in the next room.

Bo: You know like an exhibitionist eh.

Bo: You know, like I don't want to interact

Bo: with them, but in the back of my head I'm

Bo: like.

Bo: You know, it's kind of fun to be that

Bo: couple.

Bo: That's like I wish they would just go to

Bo: bed already.

Kate: You know, it's fun.

Bo: I like feeling like you're making somebody

Bo: else's trip more interesting.

Kate: Yeah, or just more depressing, because

Kate: they're not having great sex.

Kate: Sure you know and, as always, encourage the

Kate: lack of underwear and all its guys yeah

Kate: yeah, well, I mean, apart from anything

Kate: else, it was for practical reasons too,

Kate: because I was wearing a very kind of like

Kate: fitted, you know figure hugging dress.

Kate: So I don't want a VPL and I don't really I

Kate: don't mind songs, but I don't know, I just

Kate: find them.

Kate: If you don't sit right in a thong, you'll

Kate: know this, though, sure sure, sure.

Kate: If you don't sit right in a thong.

Bo: Yeah, I was going to bring this up earlier.

Kate: Yeah, no, I did it for you.

Kate: Man, You're welcome.

Kate: If you sit awkwardly on a thong, that can

Kate: like the worst fucking wedge, and I've even.

Kate: Okay, I think we're past the point of

Kate: saying oversharing on this show.

Kate: Sure, sure, sure.

Kate: But like I've even once like cut myself

Kate: with a thong yeah, just sitting down, just

Kate: like you know, like just a real bad wedge.

Kate: So I was always kind of I'll wear a thong

Kate: if I have to for whatever reason, like you

Kate: know, if a partner has a real thing for him

Kate: or whatever.

Kate: But like if I'm choosing either, if I, if

Kate: the other alternative is no underwear, I'll

Kate: go no underwear.

Kate: Like if I can't wear other types of

Kate: underwear because of I don't know, a VPL or

Kate: something, then I'll just opt to wear no

Kate: underwear, cause it's way more comfortable.

Bo: Yeah, I can see that.

Kate: And if you're on a date, it's also very

Kate: sexy.

Bo: So Well, right, especially if the date

Bo: starts going well and you get to drop that

Bo: little bomb.

Kate: Oh, yeah, yeah.

Bo: What's your move?

Bo: How do you let that go?

Kate: Um or do you just show.

Bo: Oh my God.

Kate: I.

Kate: What should I do that time?

Kate: I think?

Kate: I think I think I tend to just do the lean

Kate: in and whisper yeah.

Kate: Okay, all right, all right yeah.

Kate: Um, and then like I'll just like walk away

Kate: to go get a drink from the bar or something,

Kate: um, but like, one time I did One time I did

Kate: that I met.

Kate: I was meeting my ex for the first time, um,

Kate: because we met online, and we were meeting

Kate: in Bristol, temple Meads, which is this

Kate: massively busy train station.

Kate: Um, it's huge.

Kate: It's constantly like everyone's everywhere,

Kate: it's like a really big sort of hub and I

Kate: thought, hey, what would be really sexy is

Kate: if I wear this like bodycon, tight fit

Kate: dress, stockings, heels and no underwear,

Kate: right, what I didn't anticipate was, when

Kate: we met um, kissing him, and then him Bend

Kate: me over, like, tip me over, like in that

Kate: very romantic.

Bo: Oh sure, yeah, yeah.

Kate: But to keep balance, like because I was in

Kate: stupidly high heels.

Kate: I kind of I know this sounds weird to keep

Kate: balance, you take your foot off the ground,

Kate: but it just to kind of lever yourself out.

Kate: But I was so aware that my skirt had ridden

Kate: up and I was wearing no underwear and

Kate: stockings in the middle of rush hour, 5pm

Kate: on a fucking Friday, in one of the most

Kate: busy train stations in the southwest Um,

Kate: yeah, that was.

Kate: I mean, it was fun still.

Kate: But I, um I was like should we go?

Kate: I want to go now, let's go, let's go.

Bo: Right?

Bo: Well, you know again, you're giving

Bo: everybody something to think about on the

Bo: way home.

Kate: I mean, yeah, there is that, there is that.

Bo: You may have.

Bo: You may have unintentionally created a

Bo: romantic mood for some of those people who

Bo: then took it home to their spouses and then

Bo: like, unwittingly, you could have, you

Bo: could have generated, you know, a thousand

Bo: orgasms.

Kate: I could have You're right.

Kate: I like the idea of this.

Kate: I like yeah.

Kate: I mean, I'm nothing if not a philanthropist.

Bo: Is that?

Bo: Is it?

Bo: Do you think that's what it would be called

Bo: Philanthropism?

Bo: Is our philanthropy?

Kate: Why not?

Kate: There's no money or anything involved, but

Kate: I feel like I sold my dignity.

Bo: Philanthropy.

Bo: There's something there, there's something

Bo: there?

Kate: Yeah, that's a joke in that somebody can

Kate: work it out.

Bo: Um, which is to say that near dark is a

Bo: movie.

Bo: It is Um but yeah, I mean, it is a road

Bo: trip, Uh, and, as much as I can, you know,

Bo: segue somewhat organically.

Bo: But yeah, it's a, it's a road trip movie,

Bo: like you said.

Bo: It's a vampire film, first and foremost,

Bo: where we have, uh, adrian Pazdar is our

Bo: star, uh, which is a sentence that you

Bo: almost never hear.

Kate: Um, Stop it.

Bo: I mean he's fine, but he's just, you know,

Bo: like watching this movie.

Bo: Here's the thing about near dark and uh,

Bo: and and this may seem uh controversial, but

Bo: you know this show is nothing if not one

Bo: hot take after another.

Kate: Absolutely.

Bo: Um, I think the side characters in this

Bo: movie are way more interesting than the

Bo: main characters.

Kate: Oh my God, yeah, absolutely yes, yes, like.

Bo: Bill Paxton and Lance Henderson and

Bo: Jeanette Goldstein and Tim Tomerson as the

Bo: like doll man himself.

Bo: Yeah.

Kate: Jack Death himself Tim.

Bo: Tomerson.

Kate: Yeah, great.

Bo: Yeah, and so like all of those characters

Bo: are kind of more interesting.

Bo: But yeah, so this dude named Caleb meets

Bo: May uh, played by Jenny.

Bo: Wright.

Bo: Um, and you know they're doing a little bit

Bo: of flirty and teasing.

Bo: Uh, one thing leads to another, and you

Bo: know, sexy vampire things happen, and and

Bo: she decides she is going to, uh, induct him

Bo: into the world of vampirism.

Bo: Uh, which is not unlike the plot of kiss of

Bo: the damned, really.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, I drew that comparison as well.

Bo: Um, although I would also argue kiss of the

Bo: damned is the sexier movie 100%.

Kate: Um definitely Did I tell you I bought that,

Kate: by the way.

Bo: Oh good.

Kate: Yeah, I bought them blue.

Bo: They oh man, I that's a movie I it's been

Bo: just long enough that I'm about ready to go

Bo: back and revisit it.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Um cause that movie is hot.

Kate: I might suggest it for a movie night with

Kate: this new person.

Bo: Oh yeah, that's great.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And then have them chain you up later.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: You do like growls.

Bo: Well, all right, um, that's, that's more of

Bo: my kink, um, but uh, yeah, so, uh, caleb

Bo: and May um end up kind of running off

Bo: together along with her in quotes family.

Bo: Uh, who is basically the cast of the movie

Bo: aliens?

Bo: Um, it's Lance Henriksen as Jesse, jesse

Bo: Hooker.

Kate: Yeah, what a great name it's a.

Bo: That's real good.

Bo: Uh, there's Bill Paxton as Severin.

Kate: Yep.

Bo: And uh, jeanette Goldstein plays diamond

Bo: back, yeah, Uh, because apparently they're

Bo: also all assassins from the kill bill

Bo: universe.

Kate: Yeah, definitely yeah, I'm still Jesse Hook

Kate: is my favorite name.

Bo: Uh, and then you've got Homer uh, played by

Bo: Joshua John Miller, who is a child actor,

Bo: and and in interview with the vampire

Bo: fashion, it is that story of hey, I am

Bo: trapped in a young body but, I am now an

Bo: old man, yeah.

Kate: It also kind of gave me um, uh, buffy vibes

Kate: with the, uh, the anointed a little bit,

Kate: yeah, yeah.

Kate: From early days.

Kate: Season one well, end of season one,

Kate: beginning of season two.

Kate: Oh no, that's a lie, it's oh yeah.

Kate: No, it is end of season one, beginning

Kate: season two.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: I'm about ready for a Buffy rewatch as well.

Kate: I'm always ready for a Buffy.

Kate: I mean, you can always do worse Um 27 years

Kate: ago, on Sunday, the first day I had to just

Kate: saying oh really oh no Friday Friday.

Bo: This Friday is is 37 years, 27, 27.

Kate: It's not too much.

Kate: Um, hmm.

Bo: Okay.

Bo: Old enough now to rent a car.

Bo: Buffy the vampire slayer 27.

Bo: Well, it's 25 in the US, but you know

Bo: really.

Kate: You just have to have a license here.

Kate: Now you have to like uh, no, you can't, you

Kate: just have to pay more on the insurance.

Bo: Uh yeah, they don't even let you.

Bo: If you're uh until you're 25 in the US, you

Bo: uh unless that law is changed.

Bo: That could have changed Um, I'm not even

Bo: sure what's.

Bo: We are free and easy.

Kate: This was I only know well, I don't know

Kate: what it is like now, but when I rented a

Kate: car to drive around Germany, um, I was 25,

Kate: but my mate, who wasn't quite 25, we were

Kate: going to share it, but the insurance was

Kate: just going to cost double if we put her on.

Kate: So I did all the driving.

Kate: But yeah, that was 10 years ago now.

Kate: So yeah.

Kate: Um might change to, but yeah.

Bo: So, anyway, yeah, so yeah, a lot of, and

Bo: the thing is like, near dark is 87.

Bo: And and so it kind of predates a lot of the

Bo: stuff that you like, the stuff that we're

Bo: talking about, uh, that, um, uh, it sort of

Bo: reminds us of other films in oh yeah, right,

Bo: they like after this, but obviously after

Bo: this yeah.

Bo: Right.

Bo: It was all kind of inspired by uh, near

Bo: dark, which is, um, like it's kind of.

Bo: It's one of those movies that I don't love

Bo: it, but it's kind of fascinating.

Bo: Uh like, I like it.

Bo: There's a lot of good stuff in it.

Bo: One scene in particular is fucking great,

Bo: but like the movie as a whole, uh, like I

Bo: said, I don't think the two leads are

Bo: always the most compelling and and that's,

Bo: you know, a problem, it's the lead to your

Bo: film.

Bo: I don't.

Kate: I only think it's a problem if because, as

Kate: you said, in this one, like the side

Kate: characters are so rich, I think like that's

Kate: it's okay because we have these really cool

Kate: side characters.

Kate: Um, but I think if, like the side

Kate: characters, even if they were cool but they

Kate: weren't kind of this interesting, then it

Kate: would pose more of a problem for me.

Kate: Because I ended, I can empathize enough

Kate: with the two leads.

Kate: Plight for me to kind of like care about

Kate: them as characters, but I'm getting my

Kate: entertainment from the others, you know.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: So here's what's crazy, so near dark,

Bo: directed by Catherine Catherine Bigelow,

Bo: like we said who went on to win an Oscar

Bo: for the hurt locker.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: So, and this movie is really well directed

Bo: Like it's, yes, it's so well shot.

Bo: Yeah, it's a beautiful looking movie.

Bo: Yeah, like it uses a lot of like

Bo: Southwestern vistas and a lot of natural

Bo: beauty to help with the production of the

Bo: movie.

Bo: That's not very expensive, yeah.

Kate: And uses all the weapons in our arsenal,

Kate: didn't she?

Bo: Yeah, and I think she was married to James

Bo: Cameron at the time or was involved with

Bo: James Cameron at the time.

Kate: Oh, right, okay.

Bo: And so the reason that you see a lot of

Bo: actors from Alien show up in this is

Bo: because she knew them through her husband.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And also written by Eric Redd, whose movie

Bo: before this one was the Hitcher.

Kate: Oh, really, okay, which is another road

Kate: trip movie through the Southwest.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, okay Cool.

Bo: So you learned a little something at this

Bo: show.

Kate: Yeah, edutainment.

Bo: Edutainment, exactly.

Bo: But yeah, so the you know they're off on

Bo: the road, may and, and I almost said, jesse

Bo: Hooker and.

Bo: Caleb are with, with Jesse and Severin and

Bo: Diamondback and Homer, and they're

Bo: basically teaching Caleb, the main

Bo: character, how to be a vampire.

Bo: Yeah, and they're kind of these nomads out.

Bo: It's very like Old West inspired.

Bo: Where they're you know, these outlaws

Bo: driving around the Southwest, you know,

Bo: killing their way when they, when they need

Bo: to feed.

Kate: Oh, they also as well.

Kate: Another thing that came afterwards gave me

Kate: true, not vibes too, Just their dynamic and

Kate: the way that they're kind of nomads and

Kate: they all kind of you know.

Kate: Obviously, like you know, they don't have

Kate: Rose the Hat as their leader.

Kate: That would be cool.

Bo: If only.

Kate: If only they weren't fucking getting

Kate: involved.

Kate: Well, they might do actually I didn't

Kate: actually end that well for her either but

Kate: the but yeah, that kind of like they're a

Kate: family and they have like a particular,

Kate: they're very sort of like insular and you

Kate: know they don't like outsiders and all of

Kate: this kind of stuff.

Kate: It's just a very.

Kate: It kind of reminds that their whole dynamic

Kate: as a group reminded me of the true not yeah,

Kate: it's like they're from all these different

Kate: time periods, but they're, you know,

Kate: hanging out together.

Bo: There's a touch of loss boys in it.

Kate: I got that too.

Kate: I don't know whether it was just because it

Kate: was like the 80s and like the sort of the

Kate: aesthetic of it, kind of like a bit kind of

Kate: cowboy-ish and whatever, like not

Kate: cowboy-ish in the world, but their

Kate: characters are very just sort of like on

Kate: the lamb yeah.

Bo: And this is the same year that both these

Bo: movies came out in the same year.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: So it's not like one was inspired by the

Bo: other.

Bo: They both just kind of captured this.

Bo: Like you said, it's a very 80s kind of vibe

Bo: and and also this, very like there are kids

Bo: involved in both.

Bo: Yeah, you know, there's that sense of like

Bo: a pack of vampires, a nest of vampires, if

Bo: you will.

Bo: And yeah it's, and I wonder if near dark

Bo: didn't suffer because lost boys came out in

Bo: the summer.

Kate: Possibly, but lost boys is the better film

Kate: I don't disagree with that.

Bo: I'm not over the moon for lost boys, but I

Bo: do think it's better than this.

Bo: But still, you know, like there, there,

Bo: there was something in the water.

Bo: You know, in terms of these kinds of

Bo: vampire movies where and even lost boys was

Bo: a little bit sexy, like this is a little

Bo: bit sexy and it's not just you know

Bo: vampires coming for you.

Bo: So yeah, there there's a little bit of

Bo: shared DNA there, although this one has a

Bo: hundred percent less half naked saxophone

Bo: players.

Kate: And it suffers for it Right.

Bo: I'll let the lesser for it, sure, and, but

Bo: what I?

Bo: What I do like is in the journey to teach

Bo: Caleb how to be a vampire.

Bo: There is the bar scene, and the bar scene

Bo: is fucking rad.

Kate: Yeah, I thought that's what you were

Kate: talking about when you said about it.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: It's because they roll up in there and you

Bo: know it's a bunch of vampires in this, like

Bo: shit kicker bar in the middle of nowhere.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And I'm and immediately know like it.

Bo: You can see on their faces it is the

Bo: confidence of.

Bo: We have done this a bunch of times before.

Bo: This is not the first or the last bar that

Bo: we will clean out of rednecks and like

Bo: we're going to basically pick a fight with

Bo: a group of people who have no idea what

Bo: they're about to get into.

Kate: Yeah, it's that kind of again.

Kate: It's that sort of like, that kind of

Kate: cockiness, that kind of bravado of like,

Kate: yeah, we're going to fuck shit up, you know,

Kate: and like you can't do anything, no

Kate: repercussions are going to happen, we are

Kate: free to do whatever the fuck we want and

Kate: like, even if you don't know it yet, you

Kate: will, you know, like it's yeah, it's very

Kate: that and this is, and the way, especially

Kate: like Severin and stuff, and Severin is like

Kate: the real kind of wild card and he just, oh

Kate: my God, like he's phenomenal in this scene.

Kate: It's so fucking good.

Bo: Yeah, bill Pax.

Bo: Then, as Severin is the best part of the

Bo: movie because yes he's the most fun

Bo: character, like he loves being a vampire he

Bo: loves he's got such bloodlust, yeah, and

Bo: he's like the, and at the end of the movie

Bo: he is the most pissed at Kayla because he

Bo: finally accepts Kayla at a certain point

Bo: when they're like being chased by the law

Bo: and the sun and all that stuff.

Kate: And yeah they don't really accept Kayla,

Kate: because he's he's really resisting being a

Kate: vampire.

Kate: He can't kill anyone, he's never.

Kate: You know, he keeps getting me to do his

Kate: kills for him so that he can kind of like

Kate: feed and things and they're just like

Kate: fucking.

Kate: If you're going to be a vampire, you got to

Kate: fucking toughen up and at the moment you're

Kate: just a liability.

Kate: We're putting up with you for May's sake,

Kate: but we're not going to make it easy for you.

Kate: And Severin is really hard on him

Kate: especially.

Kate: He really just doesn't give a fuck.

Kate: So, yeah, so by the time it gets to a point

Kate: where he's kind of coming around to him,

Kate: you know, and then like yeah, as you say,

Kate: like it's yeah, he gets really pissed off

Kate: with how things turn out.

Bo: Yeah, and it feels betrayed, right, like

Bo: you know, we let you into our family and

Bo: you turned your back on us because, like at

Bo: a certain point, uh, after, after the bar

Bo: scene, we should linger there for just a

Bo: second more, because it really is like Bill

Bo: Paxton wears these spurs all through the

Bo: movie.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And we learned that he is using them in

Bo: these moments to just open up a dude's

Bo: throat as he is dancing around on a bar and

Bo: using these spurs to bleed these fools that

Bo: are eye level to his boots.

Kate: It is yeah.

Bo: Uh, and he's just having a like Bill Paxton

Bo: is having such a good time.

Kate: Oh, yeah, yeah, 100% he is.

Kate: He is absolutely loving life playing this

Kate: role and I don't blame him either.

Kate: Like this is the kind of role that, like I

Kate: think, gets actors going.

Kate: You know, it's not necessarily the main

Kate: part or whatever, but just having these

Kate: really fun parts where you get to tap into

Kate: a side of yourself that you might not

Kate: normally and like it's yeah, like that, if

Kate: I, if I was going to be an actor, this is

Kate: the type of shit that I'd like to do, I

Kate: think.

Bo: Yeah, and I think it's like you know, like,

Bo: like Bill Paxton certainly starred in

Bo: movies, but he always felt like a character

Bo: actor through and through, that he was most

Bo: at home doing something like this and, by

Bo: virtue of how much fun he's having with the

Bo: performance, he ends up being the thing

Bo: that you walk away from the movie with.

Bo: They're like, you're like, yeah, the

Bo: movie's fine, but Bill Paxton's fucking

Bo: amazing in it.

Kate: Yes.

Bo: And yeah, he's so good and but like him,

Bo: blood faced, you know, just like streaked,

Bo: with gore saying mm finger licking good

Bo: Actually he's such great one liners, oh,

Bo: that shit, it's so much fun, he's having

Bo: such a blast.

Bo: So yeah, that bar scene is just fucking

Bo: nuts.

Bo: And then you know, it is kind of post that

Bo: that our vampires end up being on the run

Bo: as Tim Tomerson, as Caleb's father tracks

Bo: them down along with the daughter, like Tim

Bo: Tomerson's daughter, caleb's sister, and

Bo: Homer takes a real shine to her and is like,

Bo: oh, I can turn her into a vampire and after

Bo: a few decades I'll have another adult

Bo: trapped in a child's body.

Kate: That I can, you know have this relationship

Kate: with yeah and she's like no thanks.

Bo: Yeah, and once Caleb gets wind of it,

Bo: that's where he's like fuck you, fuck this,

Bo: I'm out of here.

Bo: Yeah and uh yeah, and goes back home and

Bo: Tim Tomerson uses like basically uh uh,

Bo: transfused blood transfusions to get the

Bo: vampiric infection out of him, which I

Bo: think is kind of an interesting take on it,

Bo: you know.

Kate: Yeah, I mean, what I quite enjoyed about

Kate: that is how it it kind of does make a sense,

Kate: like if we, you know as much sense we're

Kate: talking about vampires.

Kate: You know, because the whole, the whole way

Kate: you become a vampire is essentially through

Kate: a blood transfusion.

Kate: You know, to quote Buffy like they suck

Kate: your blood, you suck their blood, it's like

Kate: a whole big sucking thing.

Kate: So, um, you know, it's like you, you share

Kate: those fluids and then I'm listening.

Kate: And then you know so, to have a blood

Kate: transfusion to sort of essentially like

Kate: override the initial blood transfusion.

Kate: There is a logic in there, so it's not

Kate: something that you really like.

Kate: I mean, I can't think off the top of my

Kate: head where I've seen that exact thing, but

Kate: it's like if it was going to work that way,

Kate: like if it was going to, if there was a way

Kate: of being able to reverse vampirisms and

Kate: business, and then that would be the, that

Kate: would be a logical way of doing it, I would

Kate: think yeah.

Bo: Yeah, I mean it's kind of goofy science,

Bo: but it's kind of science.

Kate: Yeah, I mean it's science in a world where

Kate: vampires are real, you know.

Bo: Yeah, right, exactly, but yeah, so he's

Bo: okay.

Bo: And finally we have a big showdown where,

Bo: like you know, may tracks him down with the

Bo: rest of the family and yeah, I love this

Bo: bit too.

Bo: And you know it feels very.

Bo: Speaking of James Cameron, there's some

Bo: real Terminator vibes, yeah, in the last

Bo: act and it's all really good and fun and,

Bo: like you know, bill Paxson gets blowed the

Bo: fuck up and, you know it takes a spur.

Bo: Right and and at the end of the day, you

Bo: know like Caleb manages to get May like

Bo: humanized again.

Kate: Yeah, I don't know if I like that.

Kate: Yeah, it's.

Kate: It just seems to be like too tied up, you

Kate: know, in a neat bow.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And I think that one of the things that

Bo: hamstrings this movie, you know, aside from

Bo: hey, the side characters like Bill Paxson

Bo: and Lance Hendrickson and Jeanette

Bo: Goldstein, like, are all way more

Bo: interesting characters, and even Homer is

Bo: kind of a more interesting character than

Bo: leads.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And the other problem, I think, is that

Bo: it's way more fun being on the road with

Bo: the vampires than the love story or the

Bo: resolution, and so when you end on the love

Bo: story, you're like, eh, okay, fine, I was

Bo: never really invested in that to begin with.

Kate: Yeah, exactly, it's sort of, it's almost

Kate: becomes like a side thing.

Kate: But their love story almost becomes like a

Kate: side story, because what I want to see is

Kate: what I'm sort of more invested in, is the

Kate: survival of this vampire group and

Kate: no-transcript, and also as well, to an

Kate: extent, like the the, the more, like the

Kate: weather, where, where, where Kaila's morals

Kate: lie and like, where's his, where's the line,

Kate: where's he going to draw that line?

Kate: Um, I by that point had really kind of like

Kate: I just don't care about that relationship

Kate: anymore.

Kate: Yeah, more interesting things are going on.

Kate: So when it like they bought a back house, I

Kate: was like, oh yeah, okay, cool.

Kate: And like, um, I would have.

Kate: I think I'd have probably rather have seen,

Kate: like um, him realize, like, if anything, I

Kate: was rather seen like him realize that, like

Kate: his life was more exciting and he was going

Kate: to get to go see the world and everything

Kate: through different eyes and like, get her to

Kate: change him back and like, but the threat,

Kate: but the threat of the gang has gone.

Kate: So he knows his sister's safe, you know

Kate: that that's okay.

Kate: His family kind of understand they can say

Kate: a proper goodbye, closure, or all the rest

Kate: of it, and then he can go off and live his

Kate: best vampire life with his, with his misses,

Kate: and not like try and change her.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, I mean, you know, one of the

Bo: most frustrating things is when a movie

Bo: forgets what the fun part of the movie is.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And it's like why?

Bo: Why are we screwing around with you know?

Bo: Oh my God, is this you know it's fusion

Bo: from dull man going to work?

Bo: When we could be hanging out with Bill

Bo: Paxton and fucking up bars Like where is?

Bo: Why are we not with them?

Bo: Yeah, yeah, the movie needed to be from

Bo: their perspective, I think, and it would be

Bo: a different movie, but it would be a much

Bo: more entertaining movie.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree, yeah, um, or just

Kate: have it that, like you know, everyone dies

Kate: in the vampire's escape and they're free to

Kate: rain hell on everything.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, like, yeah, like he gets

Bo: free of it, you know, maybe brings May

Bo: along with him, and that's how you play it,

Bo: as opposed to you know like we're going to

Bo: have the big showdown.

Kate: But yeah, I would like the show done,

Kate: though I do too.

Bo: Like it is cool, but like if that's the

Bo: case, then in everything you know one of

Bo: them needs to die, then, like, if you're

Bo: going to get or or may has to kill, be the

Bo: one to kill, like Jesse.

Kate: Yeah.

Kate: Um there has to be some sort of sacrifice

Kate: somewhere.

Bo: Right, right.

Kate: And I just was.

Kate: I think this is what bothered me, that

Kate: there was nothing, there was no, everything

Kate: just kind of I don't want to say came easy,

Kate: but like for a movie about vampires, it

Kate: kind of came easy.

Bo: The getaway too clean.

Kate: Yeah, exactly.

Bo: You know, there, like you said, there there

Bo: needs to be a sacrifice made, and it

Bo: doesn't feel like that has ever happened in

Bo: the movie, or at least not from the main

Bo: characters.

Kate: Um but.

Bo: but that's not to say the movie is bad.

Bo: In fact just the opposite, it's really good.

Bo: And if you've never seen near dark.

Bo: You should see near dark because there's

Bo: still great stuff in it and it's beautiful

Bo: to look at and the uh it's got like a a

Bo: tangerine dream soundtrack and like it's

Bo: stylish as fuck.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And and I like that style, but it is.

Bo: It just has its flaws, and there are other

Bo: vampire movies that kind of came after that

Bo: perfected sort of what it's going for.

Bo: Maybe maybe not exactly Like I could see

Bo: somebody making a really good remake of

Bo: near dark.

Kate: Yes, yeah, definitely.

Bo: And who?

Bo: But who do you cast as Severin?

Bo: Like that's the thing.

Kate: Who, who who?

Kate: who do you know what?

Kate: I could see, Like you know what.

Kate: This is not now, but maybe like 10 years

Kate: ago someone like either Christian Slayer or

Kate: Tim Olyphant Timothy Olyphant.

Bo: Yep, yep, I could yeah that Timothy

Bo: Olyphant may be a little old at this point.

Kate: This is what I mean.

Kate: Like.

Kate: That's what I mean Like 10, 15 years ago

Kate: Now, I don't know Right, it's tough.

Bo: It's a tough yeah.

Bo: It's a tough role to cast, because they've

Bo: got to be able to be scary and also kind of

Bo: goofy yeah.

Kate: And it's a it's what?

Bo: maybe Sam Rockwell would be great, but he's

Bo: too old yeah but it's that vibe right.

Bo: It's the, you know like a crap.

Bo: Gary Oldman back in the day could have done

Bo: a good seven, yeah, yeah.

Bo: So I don't know.

Bo: Listeners, send me a message and tell us

Bo: who should be severing in the remake of

Bo: Near Dark.

Bo: That will inevitably happen.

Kate: Yeah, when we, when we fund it and direct

Kate: ourselves.

Bo: Oh boy.

Bo: Wouldn't that be good.

Bo: That would be good, yeah, like listeners,

Bo: send us I don't know what do you think Five

Bo: million bucks, five million dollars.

Bo: Yeah, I'll do, give us five million dollars,

Bo: we're going to go make a remake of Near

Bo: Dark.

Kate: You'll set up a go fund me.

Bo: Yes, if we can't secure the rights, we'll

Bo: call it Near Dusk.

Kate: Yes, perfect.

Bo: And that way it is legal.

Bo: It's all in the up and up.

Kate: Yeah, and we're going to change it enough

Kate: that they can't say that it's the same

Kate: script.

Bo: Yeah, absolutely.

Bo: Instead of in the Southwest, we'll put ours

Bo: in the Southeast and we're driving around

Bo: like Georgia and Louisiana.

Kate: Yeah, I'm going to do it from the vampire's

Kate: perspective.

Kate: Oh, definitely, and then and the ending

Kate: will be different.

Kate: So, yeah, yeah.

Bo: Legally distinct, I think, is the way that

Bo: we can.

Kate: Is that the term?

Bo: Yes, yeah, this is a legally distinct

Bo: property.

Kate: Yeah, definitely.

Kate: I'm trying to think of an actor now.

Kate: That's annoying.

Bo: It's tough.

Kate: I'm looking at all my blue rays and it's

Kate: like everyone's just too old.

Kate: I just I'm just still living in, like the

Kate: nineties, and unlike the two, thousand and

Kate: everything can't be Timothy Chalamet.

Kate: Oh Jesus, no, and he wouldn't be able to do

Kate: this anyway.

Kate: He's Farty Somba.

Bo: And in two-frail.

Bo: In two-frail he's got like little bird

Bo: bones.

Kate: I almost went, bill Skarsgard, but I don't

Kate: know yeah.

Bo: You know, even in Alexander Skarsgard might

Bo: be all right for this.

Kate: He seems like he could pull that off.

Kate: I don't know.

Kate: I reckon he's a bit too old now.

Bo: Yeah, you're probably right, god.

Kate: Everyone's fucking old.

Kate: Yeah, I thought everyone stayed young in

Kate: Hollywood, aren't they?

Kate: It's supposed to be some sort of like past,

Kate: some sort of blood cult.

Bo: Hey, look at Nicole Kidman.

Bo: She hasn't aged a day.

Kate: She hasn't.

Bo: I mean, she's beautiful.

Kate: Neither is fucking Tom Cruise, though, so

Kate: what's that about?

Bo: I don't know.

Bo: I watched that last Mission Impossible

Bo: movie and there are a couple of scenes

Bo: where it looks like Tom Cruise only

Bo: slightly melted.

Bo: You know it's.

Bo: Yeah, he's getting that fifties, like

Bo: everything's just starting to sag a little

Bo: bit and there's you know like and he, but I

Bo: like the fact that he's not if he's getting

Bo: any work done.

Bo: It is subtle and it is professional.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And it's not like all of a sudden he goes

Bo: from hey, I'm, you know, almost 60 to I

Bo: look 45 and surprised all the time.

Kate: So yeah, he's not pulling any juncture,

Kate: volters.

Bo: No, no, no, no.

Bo: Like every now and again, like Joe Biden

Bo: will get, like one of them, clothes pins at

Bo: the back of the head to tighten everything

Bo: up on his face and it's like, oh wow, you

Bo: like all of your wrinkles are gone, but you

Bo: still look old, and that's weird.

Bo: That's, that's an unsettling combination of

Bo: factors.

Kate: Like Benjamin Button.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, every now and again, it's

Bo: Benjamin Biden yeah.

Kate: It's like one of those things where you

Kate: have to double take, like my eyes are

Kate: playing tricks on me, kind of thing.

Kate: This looks like an old man, right.

Bo: There's something not right there right,

Bo: but there are no wrinkles, so it looks like

Bo: a very old baby.

Bo: Yes, exactly, exactly, and that is like you

Bo: said.

Bo: It's a Benjamin Button scenario and that's

Bo: creepy as hell.

Kate: It is very creepy yeah.

Bo: And also just not very narratively

Bo: satisfying.

Bo: What a what a one of the few venture

Bo: missteps in in the filmography.

Bo: I would wager anyway, so anything else

Bo: about traveling or do we move on to Tinder

Bo: is the flesh.

Bo: I don't want to sell you short at any point.

Kate: Oh no, what anything about traveling?

Kate: Anything else?

Kate: Anything else happened in that trip that's

Kate: worth noting.

Kate: No, those are just like the two funny

Kate: moments.

Kate: No, I mean, one time I was the person who

Kate: was the asshole on holiday.

Bo: How so.

Kate: So we went on.

Kate: So this is me, and, like my first, this is

Kate: the same guy who took me to Paris.

Kate: We were about four years into the

Kate: relationship now, though, and definitely on

Kate: the way out, and we were in fuck, where do

Kate: we even go?

Kate: Tenerife, I think, and we went on one of

Kate: those all day excursions.

Kate: You know where, you're in a coach all day,

Kate: and it just drops you off at different

Kate: places, picks you up, drops you off, picks

Kate: you up everything, and they had the hotel,

Kate: had like sorted us out at lunch, as you do

Kate: with these kind of things.

Kate: We left.

Kate: We were at about five in the morning, to

Kate: leave at something like six in the morning.

Kate: It was like one of those real full on days.

Kate: It was hot, shit.

Kate: It was hot on the coach.

Kate: I don't I.

Kate: Heat is one of the things that gets me

Kate: irritable.

Kate: Hungry being hungry is the other, and we

Kate: had eaten the lunch, but we didn't get back

Kate: until something like 10 pm, and we were

Kate: staying in this little kind of like hotel

Kate: that was sort of out of the way of

Kate: everything.

Kate: It was one of those like all inclusive

Kate: resort places, and we got home later than

Kate: they had said we were supposed to be

Kate: getting back at eight and we got back at 10.

Kate: And shut at 9, 30.

Kate: And I was in just the worst mood because I

Kate: was hot, tired and hungry Three things that

Kate: you do not want to see me experiencing and

Kate: I I was right.

Kate: I want to just preface it.

Kate: I am aware that my behavior was not

Kate: acceptable.

Kate: I am aware that it was not this person's

Kate: fault.

Kate: I went into the kitchen.

Kate: They were clearing everything up and I was

Kate: just like, oh my God, like I just need some

Kate: food and so we're really sorry the

Kate: kitchen's closed, we don't have anything.

Kate: And I was and like it was.

Kate: Even though it was, it was even though it

Kate: was all inclusive.

Kate: They didn't do room service.

Kate: It wasn't anything like once the kitchen

Kate: was closed.

Kate: That was it.

Kate: The kitchen was closed, but there wasn't

Kate: even anywhere nearby that we could pop to

Kate: the shop or pop for something to eat.

Kate: You know what I mean there was.

Kate: It was literally one of those hotels where

Kate: it's like how have we chosen this location,

Kate: so you have to stay here?

Kate: And I literally just lost my shit at this

Kate: guy and I was just like what?

Kate: I was like I don't care, what is it that

Kate: you give me?

Kate: Just give me some bread, some, I don't care,

Kate: just give me some.

Kate: I've been out all day and I literally just

Kate: like lost my rag at this guy and he got his

Kate: manager.

Kate: Oh no.

Kate: Yeah and and like in the meantime he lost

Kate: his manager.

Kate: Like my boyfriend at the time was just like

Kate: what the fuck, kate?

Kate: And I'm just like don't care.

Kate: And he's just like Kate, you're being so

Kate: unreasonable, what the fuck?

Kate: He was just like just have something to

Kate: breakfast and I'm like I need something now.

Kate: I was literally, I was being such a fucking

Kate: cunt.

Kate: And then his.

Kate: By the time his manager came out as typical

Kate: with these sorts of things, I had calmed

Kate: down.

Kate: Sure.

Kate: I was like a little bit to be like, look,

Kate: like I was still pretty hip, but I was like,

Kate: look, we have been out all day, your hotel

Kate: provider's a lunch for an X amount trip and

Kate: ended up being a Y amount length of time.

Kate: I am starving, I just need some food.

Kate: I feel sick.

Kate: Just, I don't care, give me some bread.

Kate: And like he was like okay, and he went out

Kate: and he literally just got me one of those

Kate: like tiny little bread rolls Like you know

Kate: that you get, like you know, when you have

Kate: a buffet, and they're just sort of like

Kate: piled up one of those little bread rolls

Kate: and like one little packet of butter and he

Kate: just shoved it into my hands.

Kate: He was like there and I was like thank you

Kate: and just like walked off and then,

Kate: obviously like me and my then partner had a

Kate: major round and then the next day I tried

Kate: to find the guy and apologize, but I

Kate: couldn't find him.

Kate: He probably quit that night, right?

Bo: That was his last night.

Kate: He left the city moved back to the farm had

Kate: enough of rude I was so rude I'd say I am

Kate: not justifying anything that poor guy Like

Kate: I did once I'd eaten and got some sleep and

Kate: got back to a normal temperature.

Kate: I was a human again and I felt awful and

Kate: yeah, and I did in fairness, I did.

Kate: I guess it must have just been like one of

Kate: those like total shift changeovers because

Kate: the manager wasn't there either the same

Kate: one but I spoke to a manager and I said

Kate: look whoever was working last night.

Kate: Can you please tell them?

Kate: I'm just so sorry because I was being well

Kate: out of order.

Kate: I was just really, really, really, really,

Kate: really hungry.

Kate: But yeah, no, I was not.

Kate: Yeah, how do I gain something in thisBro

Kate: وهوم, which is not the best hole on that

Kate: trip?

Kate: Yeah, I don't think we're my partners

Kate: together for the next summer.

Kate: I think we broke up that year.

Kate: Yeah, but I broke up with him though, so

Kate: you know.

Kate: I had a thing.

Bo: All right, we can move on to Tinder after

Bo: this, and this won't take but a second.

Bo: So there was one trip I took with a

Bo: girlfriend of mine and we were in Chicago

Bo: for a wedding that like it was a friend of

Bo: hers or somebody in her family or something.

Bo: It had to be somebody in her family because

Bo: a lot of her family was around.

Bo: But it was such a miserable time with her

Bo: because she just she went off a rocker a

Bo: little bit and I think it was just the

Bo: pressure of the situation etc.

Bo: But I knew like, oh, this is over with.

Bo: But it was one of those situations where,

Bo: like, I know that the relationship is over,

Bo: but she doesn't know that.

Bo: And we're on a plane back from Chicago to

Bo: Nashville, right, and I'm like, as soon as

Bo: we land, as soon as we land, I'm going to

Bo: do this.

Kate: Oh, the whole time You're even going to let

Kate: her have like a day back.

Bo: No, because as soon as I know that's fucked

Bo: up.

Bo: But but it was also like what is the point,

Bo: like this was terrible.

Bo: I don't want to.

Bo: I don't want to waste another day.

Bo: Just like just putting this off Like I,

Bo: because it sucks, like I hate breaking up

Bo: with anybody and.

Bo: I hate it.

Bo: It's one of the worst fucking things.

Bo: Every time that I'm in a situation where

Bo: I'm breaking up with somebody, I feel like

Bo: total shit about it.

Kate: Same.

Bo: And so I was very much like I just need to

Bo: rip the bandaid here and be done with this,

Bo: because I feel like I feel sick about it

Bo: and so yeah, it was awful.

Kate: But yeah, I did get that.

Bo: But it sucked.

Bo: You're right, but there's no easy way to do

Bo: it Like there's no right time.

Kate: You know, at a certain point.

Bo: You know like you want to make sure that

Bo: you're weighing the decision fairly.

Bo: You're not just popping off at the mouth.

Bo: But once you know for sure, like don't sit

Bo: on that information.

Kate: Just be like you know what.

Bo: I think we're done here.

Kate: Yeah, yeah.

Bo: I'm going to get my shit and then I'm going

Bo: to go and I hope everything goes well for

Bo: you from here on out.

Bo: I just won't be around to see it.

Kate: Yeah, and thank God and yes.

Kate: And we'll both be better off in the long

Kate: run 100%.

Kate: So yeah, so Sorry.

Bo: Because even if I stayed, I would

Bo: eventually kill you.

Kate: And you'd get away with it as well, you

Kate: watched a lot of horror Right.

Bo: I would murder you, and I'm thinking about

Bo: it now, which is why I think we should

Bo: break up.

Kate: Yeah, because this isn't about me.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Yeah Right, it's not you, it's me and my

Bo: motorist impulses.

Kate: Exactly, yeah, we're such givers.

Kate: We look, we're so selfless.

Bo: Once again we have shown that as partners

Bo: in a relationship, we are Like anyone would

Bo: be lucky to have us.

Kate: Right Me and all my angry rages.

Bo: Yeah.

Kate: Just keep me.

Kate: I'm very easily.

Kate: That would just keep me fed and happy.

Kate: That's all I ask.

Bo: And cool and cool.

Bo: Yeah, I don't know.

Kate: A temperate environment and food.

Kate: Yeah, no, come up my nose, and well you

Kate: know, that's just a breezy bonus if you can

Kate: avoid it.

Bo: Sure, I don't feel like that's a deal

Bo: breaker for anyone here.

Kate: For some people it's a turn on Right.

Bo: Sometimes you got to pay extra, yeah.

Kate: So what happened then?

Bo: What the breakup?

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Well, I mean, I mean not.

Bo: Well, she was like, but we just had a trip

Bo: and we had so much fun.

Kate: Well, one of us did.

Bo: I was like did he, you know?

Bo: But like I'm.

Bo: It was like but I like, I like to cite

Bo: evidence right, like here's why we are

Bo: breaking up, because you responded to this

Bo: thing in this way and this is how I feel,

Bo: this is what I think that means about how

Bo: you view the world and that does not like

Bo: you know.

Bo: She got real freaked out over me, playfully

Bo: flirting with her like 90 year old aunt.

Kate: Joking yes.

Bo: No, I mean, that's absolutely like she lost

Bo: her nut about it and I was like I cannot

Bo: like the.

Bo: If you think that I'm going to run away

Bo: with your you know octogenarian aunt, then

Bo: obviously this relationship is not in a

Bo: place where either of us feel good about it.

Bo: No, oh my God, yeah, it was it was fucking

Bo: crazy Cause like like I'm like.

Bo: This is in the middle of the fucking

Bo: rehearsal dinner, she stands up and storms

Bo: out because of this.

Kate: Oh my God, we doing like rubbing her thigh

Kate: or something?

Kate: No, no, not at all.

Kate: I mean, I don't even remember exactly.

Bo: It was something really innocuous, it was

Bo: just.

Bo: I might have even said something like to

Bo: her aunt like well, we shouldn't talk right

Bo: now because she's here listening or

Bo: something.

Bo: You know something like that, but just

Bo: goofing off, right Like clearly I wasn't

Bo: trying to make any time with this old woman.

Kate: Obviously not.

Bo: But yeah, oh my God.

Kate: Oh, my God.

Kate: It was kind of I don't even know what that

Kate: speaks to, Whatever it is.

Bo: Oh, I'll tell you, it is some real

Bo: self-esteem issues that.

Bo: I do not want to be around for the

Bo: management of.

Kate: Yeah, I mean, it gets to a point, doesn't

Kate: it, where you, like, you want, like you're

Kate: not trying to change, but you know, you,

Kate: you know, love someone for their good parts,

Kate: their bad parts, you know.

Kate: But there is like a line where it's kind of

Kate: like, okay, when am I their partner, or

Kate: when am I their parent slash therapist,

Kate: like, and how much is this going to drain

Kate: from me?

Kate: You know, because, like, I'm all about

Kate: supporting partners, I'm all about

Kate: supporting friendships, but there is a

Kate: point, though, where it actually just

Kate: starts being like I'm not helping you, but

Kate: you are sucking the fucking energy out of

Kate: me in the life of yeah, yeah Right, when

Kate: you come home and and like all

Kate: relationships are worked to some degree.

Kate: Of course yeah.

Bo: But if you come home and and dread it

Bo: because you know you're going to be even

Bo: more exhausted by the the the like the

Bo: dynamics of the situation.

Bo: Yeah, then it's just like you it's.

Bo: It's untenable.

Kate: And I think we've all been.

Kate: We've all been in those situations.

Bo: Oh, yeah, yeah.

Bo: It is exclusively how I date.

Kate: That's exclusive how I've dated so far,

Kate: like as in, like it gets to that.

Kate: It will always get to that point.

Kate: Which is why I'm kind of like I started

Kate: seeing somebody new, like very new.

Kate: But like I'm also kind of like do I want?

Kate: Do I like I'm quite happy being by myself?

Kate: And also when you're a wise woman, old wise

Kate: woman in the forest, that doesn't come with

Kate: a partner.

Kate: In fact, the fact that you're like an old

Kate: spinster is part of the whole deal.

Kate: And you know you're supposed to have rumors

Kate: about you eat children and cut men's

Kate: unsuspecting men's hearts out of their

Kate: chest for your midnight moon blood

Kate: sacrifices.

Kate: It doesn't work if you've got a partner

Kate: there.

Bo: I mean, you can still go off and get laid.

Bo: That is well within the bounds of oh 100%

Bo: yeah, but having a partner, yeah.

Kate: Here's the thing.

Bo: I find myself fantasizing about at this

Bo: point.

Bo: Okay, it's not like I'm going to meet the

Bo: right person and settle down or something

Bo: at this point.

Kate: It's like I'm going to get an RV.

Bo: And I'm just going to drive around the

Bo: country with my dogs.

Bo: Fuck, yeah, and just like see the see, the

Bo: sights and go to terrible restaurants and

Bo: two-bit side shows.

Bo: Yeah, can I come?

Kate: This is like I think.

Kate: I'll help on and kind of deal, like I'll

Kate: meet you over and like wherever, and like

Kate: we'll go see some fucking weird side show,

Kate: can I?

Bo: and then like sure, sure, like we'll fill

Bo: our bodies up with as much cholesterol as

Bo: possible.

Kate: And then, like I'll, I'll go back to my

Kate: little cabin in the forest and hibernate

Kate: for four to six months.

Bo: I'm telling it.

Bo: When I fantasize about this, it's like,

Bo: well, that's going to be the last 10 years

Bo: of my life.

Bo: I'm just going to be a nomad, you know,

Bo: speaking of the true knot, but I will be my

Bo: own true knot going down to 10 and like

Bo: just visiting old friends and stuff, like

Bo: hey, I'm going to, I'm going to go to

Bo: Wisconsin and see some friends of mine

Bo: there and I'll hook my RV up, you know, at

Bo: some shitty RV park where.

Bo: I can live for three days.

Bo: You know like that sounds so appealing to

Bo: me.

Kate: That sounds great.

Kate: I doesn't it?

Kate: It really does.

Kate: I'm such a nomad myself.

Kate: Like, like I, like I never.

Kate: The only reason that I'm staying currently

Kate: in one place is purely for my kids' sake.

Kate: As soon as she's old enough to move out and

Kate: able enough to move out, as in financially

Kate: so in about 50 years, I am out, I am gone,

Kate: I am moving abroad Like I've I think it was

Kate: like in 10 years, I think I moved something

Kate: like 14 times for various reasons.

Kate: But like I just don't like staying in one

Kate: place for too long, I don't like feeling

Kate: like tied down in any kind of way.

Kate: You know, one of the reasons why I'm trying

Kate: to be a hairdresser is because it's

Kate: something that I can take with me wherever

Kate: I go, and like it's not a job that

Kate: necessarily requires me to stay in one

Kate: place.

Kate: And like I like any, I've had a mortgage in

Kate: the past, but it was purely because my

Kate: partner wanted one and I figured I was

Kate: going to spend the rest of my life with

Kate: them.

Kate: So I guess we're having a mortgage, but I

Kate: wouldn't have a more.

Kate: I mean, you know the market, a market, say,

Kate: the market aside, I still, if I ever did

Kate: get a mortgage.

Kate: If I ever did buy a property, it would be

Kate: to rent out to someone else and have it as

Kate: a source of income as opposed to like

Kate: somewhere I would live.

Bo: Well.

Bo: So that's kind of when I think about it.

Bo: It's like, oh, I'll just rent out my house

Bo: and I'll use you know that money plus

Bo: retirement, plus some royalty, like I'll

Bo: make a fine monthly income.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: And and then I'll just like, I'll plunk

Bo: down, like, look, this is.

Bo: I'm looking at this thing right now.

Bo: It's this a good looking RV, 120 grand,

Bo: which you know.

Bo: I mean, yeah, that's 120 grand, but that's

Bo: where you live, that's your, your.

Bo: You know your home on the road.

Bo: And and I dig it, I like, I like this idea.

Kate: Yeah, it's a, it's a sweet idea.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.

Bo: Like you know, the yeah the whole, like

Bo: bedroom in the back, little kitchen and and

Bo: and so forth, and that's really that's

Bo: really the dogs.

Bo: You know.

Bo: A little table to do some writing.

Bo: And that's what I would say, like I travel

Bo: around, if I'm like, hey, I'm going to stop

Bo: in this place, I'm just going to sleep here

Bo: and write for a couple of days and there'll

Bo: be enough internet to publish it, and like

Bo: I've really given this a lot of thought.

Kate: Yeah, and also cause where you live in

Kate: America, like you've got such an expanse of

Kate: different landscapes, you know so, like,

Kate: whatever kind of landscape you're in the

Kate: mood for, environment you're in the mood

Kate: for you've got it without even having to

Kate: cross water, yeah, Right, and I could go

Kate: all the way up to Alaska.

Bo: And, yeah, right, like the world is my

Bo: burrito, I could go all through Canada.

Kate: Oh, I'll be living there by that point, so

Kate: come say hi to me, great.

Kate: Yeah sure, Let me know, let me know where

Kate: you are, and you know I mean to be, you

Kate: know, shacked up together, clearly.

Bo: So like.

Bo: But in my head now I'm like okay, well, so

Bo: I'll teach for about the next 10 years and

Bo: then I'll just buy my motor home and I'll

Bo: just drive around.

Kate: Fuck yeah.

Bo: It's like it's really got me charged up,

Bo: Like it sounds like a great idea, but none

Bo: of that includes like well, and I'm going

Bo: to find a nice lady to do that with.

Bo: It's just like, ah, I'm just going to go

Bo: fucking do it.

Kate: Exactly, exactly, yes, yes.

Kate: Speaking my language, though, speaking my

Kate: language.

Bo: Should we do Tinder?

Bo: Yes, yes, tinder is the flesh, and then get

Bo: out of here.

Kate: Yeah, nice, right.

Kate: So our first contender behind door number

Kate: one, we have Scott 34.

Kate: My name is Scott.

Kate: I have a sense of humor, all right, Wait,

Kate: wait, wait let me.

Bo: I'm sorry I got to stop you right there,

Bo: cause when you say my name is Scott, I have

Bo: a sense of humor.

Bo: This I'm having a space ghost coast to

Bo: coast flashbacks because, there's a story

Bo: that Brack tells that starts with hello, my

Bo: name is bingo.

Bo: And it's a story about a talking monkey and

Bo: it goes hello, my name is bingo.

Bo: Can I have a banana Eek?

Kate: That's not how this goes.

Kate: Spoiler alert All right, but just starting

Kate: off.

Bo: Hello, my name is Scott.

Bo: It feels a little silly.

Kate: It is.

Bo: Okay, sorry, sorry.

Kate: And also your name is right there Like

Kate: people and you only have a certain amount

Kate: of like characters you can use in a bio and

Kate: it's when people like, so you have so much

Kate: already that they just that you can.

Kate: You can say where you work, you can say

Kate: what your sexual preferences, where you

Kate: live, your height, all in the bitch, you

Kate: don't have to put any of that in your bio.

Kate: You've got so much more to put in your bio

Kate: and it's so.

Kate: It's when you'll have, let's say, scott, 34,

Kate: 5 foot 10, right Lives in X, and then in

Kate: the in the bio they have hi, I'm Scott and

Kate: 34 and I'm 5 foot 10.

Bo: It's just like buddy, you know it's

Bo: speaking to getting kicked in the head by a

Bo: goat.

Bo: Hi, my name is Scott Uh-huh.

Kate: I'm 5 foot 10.

Bo: Yeah, I'm I'm 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Kate: I'm 34 and a half years old.

Bo: Look I just need to renew my driver's

Bo: license.

Bo: My name is Scott.

Bo: Yeah, I got that earlier.

Kate: It's like that 10 seconds on from 51st date.

Kate: Hi, I'm Tom yeah.

Bo: All right.

Bo: So is there someone else I can talk to you?

Bo: Do you have a manager?

Bo: I'm 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Bo: All right, I'm just going to come back.

Bo: Goodbye, my name is Scott.

Kate: Oh, my God, I'm really glad that the next

Kate: one is, because if there's anything else, I

Kate: think it would be very disappointing, right?

Kate: So, scott, my name is Scott.

Kate: I can't do it now.

Kate: I have a sense of humor.

Kate: I'm hung like a horse as it's between my

Kate: legs and smells funny.

Kate: I have a daughter and would probably have

Kate: more children.

Kate: My boobs are real.

Kate: All right.

Bo: I don't like him talking about his horse

Bo: stick and his kids in the same body.

Kate: It's gross, isn't it?

Kate: It's gross when they do that.

Bo: It's a hard left turn that's tough to

Bo: navigate.

Kate: Well, you hope it's a left turn, because

Kate: what if it's not fair?

Bo: Right and like and I hope to have more is

Bo: again.

Bo: This is all just bad phrasing this.

Bo: This is a first draft at best.

Kate: And to be mentioned that starts up with hi.

Kate: My name is Scott Hi.

Bo: My name is Scott.

Kate: I'm hung like a horse and I want more

Kate: children.

Bo: It smells funny yeah.

Kate: You have to stop touching your phone, yeah.

Bo: It's when I touch it a lot, it spits at me.

Kate: Oh boy, oh my God, all right.

Bo: We're going outside, scott, put on your

Bo: helmet.

Bo: My name is Scott.

Bo: Oh my God, my stomach Okay.

Bo: So Scott clearly a winner.

Bo: So far, so good.

Kate: He wins.

Kate: I won't bother with the other two.

Kate: Scott wins today, so this one.

Kate: A second one, oh my God.

Kate: So he's put as his name dirty Dave.

Bo: Oh sure.

Kate: And, as an added extra, in one of his

Kate: little photos slash videos, it's a video of

Kate: him playing acoustic guitar singing.

Kate: Can you guess?

Kate: Wonderwall.

Kate: Oh boy.

Kate: Yeah, and his bio says well, some sort of

Kate: handle.

Kate: It says handle whatever, that is cam.

Kate: So I see cam on anything, I'm immediately

Kate: thinking it's some sort of sex stream.

Kate: And then it just says for by itself.

Kate: And then it says I like to party and fuck

Kate: content available, also reconfirming my cam

Kate: concept.

Kate: I've got five dogs.

Kate: Psychedelic astronaut supply kiss.

Kate: Psychedelic spell room Wait psychedelic

Kate: what.

Kate: Astronauts.

Kate: Okay, yeah, so for I like to party it by,

Kate: in fact, content available.

Kate: Also, I've got five dogs.

Kate: Psychedelic astronauts apply, and he's

Kate: playing Wonderwall badly on a guitar.

Kate: He's called himself dirty Dave.

Bo: All right.

Bo: So how old is dirty Dave Do we have?

Kate: any 28?

Bo: Yeah, that still feels old.

Bo: Calling yourself dirty Dave and playing

Bo: Wonderwall, that's.

Bo: That's a young man's game, that is that is

Bo: first year college.

Kate: Anyone's game, I think, at this point is

Kate: just like just it's immediate red flag.

Bo: You're right, Like that was.

Bo: That was a move when I was 21.

Kate: I feel like as soon as it became a move, it

Kate: became a cliche.

Kate: Yes, yes, like, kind of like how anytime Ed

Kate: Sheeran releases a ballad, it's already a

Kate: cliche as a first dance song.

Bo: Yeah, right, right, right, yeah, it's, yes,

Bo: it, it.

Bo: There was a window of about eight and a

Bo: half minutes.

Kate: Yeah.

Bo: Where it was an effective ploy to play

Bo: Wonderwall on acoustic guitar for a woman.

Kate: Yes.

Bo: And the window rapidly closed.

Bo: They there.

Bo: There was one man, kevin Jeffries, who

Bo: pulled it off, and that was it.

Kate: Not even lowland.

Kate: Liam pulled off.

Kate: No.

Bo: No, that was.

Bo: That was a door that closed behind Kevin

Bo: Jeffries and it will not open again.

Kate: Yes, Exactly so.

Kate: Yeah, so we've got this old pervy has been

Kate: five dogs, which I think you know you were

Kate: saying with two dogs that you were getting

Kate: creepy.

Bo: Yes, this guy's got five.

Bo: Five is except.

Bo: Five means that dogs is what you do.

Kate: Yes.

Bo: That is, that is the whole of your

Bo: personality.

Kate: It is.

Kate: And then, yeah, misspellings aside,

Kate: psychedelic astronaut supply doesn't even

Kate: fucking make sense.

Bo: I don't know what that is.

Bo: I'm still trying to work it out.

Kate: And the fact that he signs it all off with

Kate: a little kiss Like he loves you.

Kate: Still, it still might be better than my

Kate: name is Scott, which is my name is Scott is

Kate: terrible at the minute, at least I know

Kate: he's got a big dick.

Bo: Yeah, but it also smells, I'm not blowing

Bo: him?

Kate: I'm not blowing him and he's using a condom.

Bo: Yeah, okay, all right, and yeah, you're not

Bo: getting, you're not getting wind of

Bo: anything down there.

Kate: Yeah, and also I'm not going to end up on

Kate: camera.

Kate: So no, no, no, no, no, all right.

Bo: What is what's behind door number three

Bo: here you ready?

Kate: This is a doozy.

Bo: Yes, I am.

Kate: Okay, ready to get political?

Kate: Alex 34, six foot one.

Kate: Okay, just just returned from three months

Kate: in Thailand.

Kate: Pretty cool, cause the Thailand flags are

Kate: as well, just in case you weren't sure, to

Kate: the snow.

Kate: Need someone to break me in gently winking

Kate: emoji?

Kate: If you're a chubby girl, don't waste either

Kate: of our time not times time by liking me.

Kate: I like feminine, physically fit women with

Kate: something going on upstairs.

Kate: I'm right wing and a Trump supporters, and

Kate: no slippery lefties either.

Kate: Okay, so it's a nice little emoji.

Kate: United flags, even though he lives in

Kate: Cardiff, and then the American flag next to

Kate: it.

Bo: So why the fuck is anybody in England a

Bo: Trump fan?

Kate: I Do not know.

Kate: Good, not tell you know.

Kate: And I know is to clarify.

Bo: Yeah, that seems very.

Bo: I guess you have to be like what super Tory

Bo: Is that?

Bo: Would that be the thing?

Kate: Yeah, yeah, I think if that's yeah, but I

Kate: think even the Tories just kind of think

Kate: he's a bit Of a joke.

Bo: Yeah, I don't.

Bo: Yeah, like, if you're that would be like me

Bo: being super invested in.

Bo: Okay, what's the Prime Minister's name?

Bo: Now I can't even keep up.

Kate: Oh, fuck me, I don't know.

Bo: June, not Juno oh.

Kate: This is bad, isn't it?

Kate: I just I switch, I switch off after a while.

Kate: I'm not gonna lie.

Kate: Oh, I'm looking up.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, I got it to you.

Bo: It's Wow, rishi Sunak.

Kate: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah.

Bo: So boy, the conservatives have really been

Bo: chewing through him, teresa may.

Bo: Boris Johnson, listress and Rishi Sunak.

Kate: All in the what like seven years eight year,

Kate: yeah, seven, eight years.

Bo: Well, and it Teresa may lift in 2019.

Bo: So yeah, the past five.

Bo: Yeah it seems like a lot.

Kate: But it's pretty shambolic over here.

Bo: Yeah, anyway, but we can still get

Bo: abortions.

Kate: So there you go.

Bo: Yeah, well you know you can in most

Bo: reputable back alleys here.

Bo: All right, but all right.

Bo: So the choices.

Bo: Which of these three it would be the?

Bo: The recommend.

Kate: Yeah, so you got the right wing Trump

Kate: supporting fat-shaming asshole.

Bo: That's a disaster.

Bo: That guy I Like that guy is going to be

Bo: appealing to a very specific kind of person.

Bo: Yeah and it's going to be a person that

Bo: also believes in the same nonsense.

Bo: So, yeah, he is totally off the table and

Bo: also should be on a list.

Kate: Yes, agreed, he's definitely in, and so.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, if it wouldn't make sense if he

Bo: was the dude with five dogs.

Kate: Yeah you know, he's actually in as well.

Kate: He's actually from the photo of what I can

Kate: see of the screenshot that I took.

Kate: He's actually not a bad-looking guy.

Kate: Yeah so it's kind of one of those things

Kate: where, like, he's clearly on tinder for his

Kate: personality.

Kate: You know, like like Men who are on tinder,

Kate: who are good-looking Generally, like I mean,

Kate: as in like Not just good-looking, but like

Kate: very good looking.

Kate: You know like the kind of like what are you

Kate: on here for?

Kate: Oh right, because you have a shitty

Kate: personality.

Kate: Girls want tinder because everyone else,

Kate: they know, all the guys that they know, are

Kate: just ourselves.

Kate: We hope that by like Casting out our nets a

Kate: bit further, we're gonna have more success,

Kate: but no, no.

Bo: No same shit the difference of code same

Bo: shit.

Kate: Yeah, exactly, so yeah.

Kate: But when, when good-looking men are on

Kate: there, they're either a catfish or they're

Kate: an asshole generally, so yeah.

Bo: I should start cat fishing.

Kate: No, it's such a cruel practice.

Kate: Did I tell you about the time I got catfish?

Bo: No.

Kate: So I yeah, I'll keep this brief, so I Sorry,

Kate: just getting more comfy on my sofa.

Kate: So I this is oh god, this was Jesus about

Kate: ten years ago it's between my two big

Kate: long-term relationships and I was on tinder

Kate: for the first time and was pretty naive to

Kate: the concept of things like cat fishing.

Kate: And there was this guy I was chatting to,

Kate: had been chatting to you for a little while.

Kate: We were on WhatsApp by this point and I had

Kate: sent him some risque videos, pretty risque,

Kate: and photos and whatever and like yeah

Kate: Anyway, so I Was shopping with my mom this

Kate: before yeah, no, she'd come back from

Kate: Greece For a little bit and we were out

Kate: shopping and because I was with my mom, we

Kate: went into Marks and Spencer, which is a big

Kate: kind of department store for the

Kate: middle-aged and typically and for the

Kate: frumpy yeah, yeah, basically.

Kate: And then so we go to the men's section

Kate: because mom wants to get that some pants

Kate: and take them back with her right.

Kate: So we go to the men's section and low

Kate: behold, right in front of my face, about

Kate: eight foot high, is the profile picture of

Kate: this guy.

Kate: I've been chatting to you for two months.

Kate: Oh no and I am pretty sure he is not a

Kate: model like, because in his bio he was a

Kate: technical engineer.

Kate: So, yeah, I don't know who the fuck I'd

Kate: sent that shit to, and at that time it

Kate: wasn't even so much of the fact that I'd

Kate: sent it to someone who wasn't who he said

Kate: he was.

Kate: I was like, shit, I hope it was no one I

Kate: went to school with.

Kate: Yeah, like or anything like that, because

Kate: that would.

Kate: That's to me.

Kate: That's so much worse than a stranger.

Kate: Oh, right right.

Bo: Yeah, somebody that Knowingly you know

Bo: tricked you into sending you know the goods.

Kate: Yeah, that's yeah.

Kate: I'm pretty sure I did keep my face out of

Kate: it.

Kate: I'm pretty sure I like to think, but yeah,

Kate: still like yeah.

Bo: The yeah, I like I have always been kind of

Bo: uncomfortable with that practice, you know.

Bo: Now.

Kate: Now they have a thing, though, where you

Kate: can't screen shot.

Kate: You can put it on like view once.

Kate: Yeah, then you can't screenshot it, you

Kate: can't do anything.

Kate: It's all like, if you miss it, that's it,

Kate: it's gone.

Bo: Oh, so anyway picking our, yeah, so so,

Bo: yeah definitely not right wing yeah.

Kate: Yeah so we've got the.

Kate: My name is, my name is Scott oh man Boy,

Kate: that's real rough I.

Bo: I think these are real, though Scott's

Bo: boobs are real, so that's a right Him

Bo: saying I have, I have a good sense of humor

Bo: and then making a my boobs a real joke.

Bo: That's oxymoronic, one of those things.

Bo: Yes, yeah, they don't compete so yeah, so

Bo: that's not great, but, like you said, he

Bo: might be hung.

Bo: Yeah and like he might be Filled to the

Bo: brim with dad jokes and bad puns.

Kate: I thought you were gonna say come.

Kate: But well, also that, probably that's a yeah,

Kate: common puns.

Bo: That's the bookshop I'm gonna open, so I

Bo: I'm thinking it's my name is Scott.

Kate: My name is Scott as well.

Bo: And and not just because of the good time

Bo: we had with him, but yeah, I think that I.

Kate: Mean.

Kate: He does have a sense of humor.

Kate: I can't say whether or not it's very good,

Kate: but it's a sense of humor and also, as well,

Kate: I like to think that I could rescue his

Kate: daughter.

Kate: Yes, come with me if you want to live.

Bo: Come with me if you want to be cool.

Kate: Yeah, exactly, come with me if you don't

Kate: want to be the lettered lifted.

Bo: You need to get away from your father now.

Bo: My name is Scott Quick.

Bo: Come with me.

Kate: Yeah, yeah, definitely yeah, but only Scott,

Kate: just to save the daughter and maybe Get

Kate: some dad jokes and maybe stretched out of

Kate: it.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, we stretch it out with the,

Bo: with the condom.

Bo: Yeah, sure, sure, sure, sure in fact.

Bo: Right, right, right.

Bo: You might Maybe just get them to make a

Bo: mold of it.

Kate: Maybe, yeah, mm-hmm, yeah, I can say it's

Kate: like a king, a special king of mine, not

Kate: personal to you, in that weird smell that's

Kate: coming from your genitals.

Kate: But you know my, my own kink.

Bo: This one has hairs in it.

Kate: Oh.

Bo: You're supposed to shave first.

Bo: 5 foot 10.

Kate: Like oh my god, you know what he does what.

Kate: I just saw this.

Kate: He works on a farm of course he does.

Bo: Of course he does.

Bo: I like the animals.

Bo: What, what type of Godate Cheerios out of

Bo: my palm and it tickled.

Kate: Fucking that explains so much.

Bo: Really like the animals sure or Well it's,

Bo: at least you know he's accurately describes

Bo: himself having a horse got cuz yeah, right,

Bo: he's got a comparison right it's right

Bo: there.

Bo: Scott, you're one in a million, sir.

Kate: Yeah, good stuff.

Bo: All right.

Bo: Well Kate what do you say we get out of

Bo: here?

Kate: Yeah, let's do it.

Bo: All right.

Bo: Where can people find more out of you

Bo: between now and when?

Bo: Next we talk about Romance and horror and

Bo: come in the eye.

Kate: Come in the nose the nostril far more

Kate: refined sure.

Bo: Oh yeah, only the best people Get come in

Bo: the nose.

Bo: Did you hear what happened to Barbara?

Bo: Come in the nose.

Kate: Oh.

Bo: She is ready coming up in the world.

Bo: No more vaginal coming for All facial

Bo: orpices.

Kate: Oh yeah, so the mouth is just so pass a

Kate: right.

Bo: I hear next, next spring, she's going to

Bo: get come in the air, oh.

Kate: No, I hope not.

Kate: My egg and I was a really narrow.

Bo: Well, that just means they're, you know,

Bo: ripped for his pleasure.

Kate: Yes, what's your question?

Kate: Where can you find me?

Kate: So, as earlier I said about my social

Kate: medias and listening stuff for money,

Kate: podcast Kate Anjou book review, so I

Kate: won't repeat that.

Kate: And then you can also find me on Eternal

Kate: darkness of not so spotless minds.

Kate: We we talk about horror movies, new and old.

Kate: We have lots of fun and shenanigans and

Kate: giggles and the occasional interview with

Kate: horror people which we started doing since

Kate: we go to festivals now.

Kate: We go to festivals now.

Bo: Oh well, have you heard about.

Bo: Barbara going to the festivals getting calm
